Maybe they should start naming the bugs like this, so instead of calling it a glitch when you do this call it the Tahoe lake bug

Interesting. Waiting to see the redesign and also waiting to see whether Intel macs will get it.

Oh gee, more stupid froof to misdirect from the fact that Apple can’t fix Siri or their AI. Cook is running Apple into the ground with design over function. Jobs knew it takes BOTH working seemlessly together.

They could change their names to ousted Apple CEOs!
OS 19 Scott
OS 26 Markula
OS 27 Sculley
OS 28 Spindler
OS 29 Amelio
OS 30 Jobs

And in the future: OS ?? Cook

Haters gonna hate. Perhaps you'd like Windows/Android better?

Lake Tahoe is also known for sex trafficking. It's how my old boss got arrested and now rots in prison. Private tech firm, but he had a couple hotels there (and one in Arizona) as his side hobby. Some hobby.
Blame the people not the surroundings. Glad he’s rotting in prison though!

The alleged name of macOS 26 (yes) has leaked.

In his Power On newsletter today, Bloomberg's Mark Gurman said that macOS 26 will be named macOS Tahoe, after California's scenic Lake Tahoe.

Apple previously named its Mac operating systems after big cats like Cheetah, Tiger, Leopard, and Lion. Starting with OS X Mavericks in 2013, however, Apple switched to California-themed names like Yosemite, Monterey, Sonoma, and Sequoia.

Lake Tahoe is known for its reflective waters, which mirror the surrounding landscape, including mountains and the sky. Gurman said that would align with macOS 26's rumored glass-like design with more translucent windows, buttons, and icons.

Apple is expected to unveil macOS 26 alongside iOS 26, iPadOS 26, watchOS 26, tvOS 26, and visionOS 26 during its WWDC 2025 keynote, which is set to begin on Monday, June 9 at 10 a.m. Pacific Time. The conference is just eight days away.

I'm not sure why people are talking of macOS being a bug city these days, I don't see many bugs. The only ones I experience are those Continuity/hand off features where phone calls are not working properly and pasting from the clipboard after copying from the iPhone simply won't work.

I'd also love it if my Mac stopped asking for my password. I mean what is TouchID on there if you're asking me my password all the time?

Blame the people not the surroundings. Glad he’s rotting in prison though!
Once saw Extreme Midget Wrestling at Lake Tahoe. Quite the eye opener.

I do miss the big cat themed macOS names but understand they were running out of cat species to use and that we'd be on something like "macOS Pallas's Cat" by now if Apple had to keep reaching. The fact that Apple went all in on acknowledging their codenames with 10.2 Jaguar and made the X logo out of furry jaguar print was one of my favorite Apple marketing moves ever.

As long as it’s not named after Chevy Tahoe, or my MacBook will break down once a month 😂
Yes!!

Seems like a blunder by Apple to associate their OS with a poorly designed product from a has been automotive company.

So close yet sooo far from a stripped down codebase removing x86 code and killing off lots of bugs. Make it so lean the processes eat each other.

Call it MacOS Donner Pass.

"macOS 26's rumored glass-like design with more translucent windows, buttons, and icons."

That was one of Windows Vista's highlights when it came out in 2007. Apple likes to play catch-up these days.
To be fair Vista's Aero UI design was Microsoft's attempt to one-up Apple and the eye candy-heavy Aqua UI from early Mac OS X. If anything the eye candy and translucencies is just a return to form for Apple.
