I find that I have to tap more than one for it to register. I'll try to keep an eye on it and see if I can pin down a pattern as far as page content, though that may prove futile.
Yeah, sometimes it's like that in other apps and I almost double dap by default most of the time. But over the past few days there are times when it just doesn't work for some reason no matter how many taps. Sometimes reloading the same page will get it working and other times not even that.

It's been at a point of almost being 50/50, which is not something I've come across before on my iPhone and prompted me to ask about it.

I wonder if it's something on the page bringing an iOS bug out of the shadows. I've had this happen in other apps too.

Q: Are there any plans to improve the navigation, i asked the other day about having a forum jump like on the old system and you said you were looking into it. The quick navigation on here really isn't very good compared to the old forum jump.

There is a space just waiting for it, just on the right of where you choose the language and clock you want.

Yep. Replacing the quick nav button with a more traditional forum drop is on the list for the devs to get done.

The other things on the short list are excluding forums from new posts, improved spy functionality.

arn, any chance new profiles could include thumbs-ups from the old site as well?

No, we purposefully didn't migrate the votes because it would have de anonymized them, and some people strongly objected to that.

We did keep anonymous votes on news stories prior to the switchover so our article comment sort would be retained. But that's stored separately from the forum database.

Thats great news, I'm not trying to get you to commit to a time scale or anything, but are we talking days, weeks or months for it to happen. I know it can take a long time for developers to develop new software, so was just wondering if you had a rough idea of how long it might take.

Can someone help me. I use the macrumors app on my iPhone and since the new theme I can't login. When I click log in it has an error page. I've been looking everywhere to fix this
Have you tried MR in Safari since the upgrade to XenForo? It's quite nice. The site also works in Tapatalk. Just my personal opinion, but the MR app may no longer be necessary.

What's the advantage of that app over just using the web site?
Notifications (watched threads, private messages, likes, etc.)? I still haven't figured out how to get website notifications when visiting a site in Safari. This is why I like Tapatalk.

That would be an advantage, but it's not clear if that app offers that (as far as I could tell at least).

Go to More Options and you'll find Preview in there.

Thanks. There's a lot to get used to compared to the older forum. It's growing on me though.

The preview button is hidden and there are more steps involved. I was just wondering if the preview button will be visible in lower menu at some point? Btw, I do like that the whiteness is subdued. Will there be more user options to choose screen UI? If, for instance, I wanted a more f.lux like warming colour.

Yeah, Arn is looking into some of those things you point out. We just need to give him time to go through everything with his dev team.

Sorry but I have come to the conclusion that this change is for the worse.
It was such an easy forum to use before this change, one of the best I used actually.
Sometimes change for the sake of change is just a .......mistake
