I hate that the banner ads pop in after refreshing and move the whole forum down.
Right when you go to click on something the banner comes in and moves the element you are attempting to click down. I especially hate it when you mark a forum as read.

Thanks, Arnold. That is a big improvement, IMO. It helps a lot.

Seconded.

It takes the edge off the glare. I'd still prefer a sepia or olive ideally, but this is a distinct improvement.

I love the site responsiveness on my iPad. The way in which I can jump to unread posts via Watched Threads so easily is great. And the site is easy to use on iPhone and iPad.

error

Edit: had accidentally posted here what I wanted to post in another subforum. I was in a hurry and the first what came to my mind to fill the deleted space was "eeror". It should have read: "wrong post, please delete."

Much better design! I really don't understand those that liked the old version better. I always thought I was posting to some 1990's blog site with no thought to form. It felt like it was designed as an after thought and was using the same old forum template that everyone and their grandma used. Nice job MR. Glad to be back in 2000's.
Again, those that liked the old better are not after design. They talk about usability.
It might at first glance look as if they are nagging about too much white (which sounds as a looks-thing), , but they mean, that the posts are to far away from each other so that it gets hard to read and have much to scroll.

Edit: Don't get me wrong, I am not being negative. I agree with the post under me by Z3man, it is great that the staff reacts so quickly (given the amount of work).

I would just like to say that it is great to see the site owners listening to its users comments and making changes accordingly and pretty quickly too, they are really putting a lot of effort in to making sure the transition is as seamless as possible. At this rate it won't be long before this is a well sorted forum.

Would still like to see some better navigation though, the old from jump was perfect, the quick navigation on xenforo is very poor in comparison.

I haven't read through all of these comments but these are two things I've noticed personally:

The pop up image viewer for image attachments downs work for me. I'll attach an image to show what it does for me. :p

Though, it could just be my slow internet.

Also, no matter where I am on the forum, it could crash out of no where, causing Safari on my phone to reload the page. Nothing specific seems to trigger it.

It's probably an internet speed thing. When I open it on my iPhone, there's a definite delay before the full sized attachment appears. It's probably because its full size.

Sorry; accidental reply. But, coincidentally, the page crashed as I was reading your message.

will we ever see a FP redesign similar to the forum redesign? I love the new forum redesign, but now the FP looks dated lol.

Ya, unfortunately, Safari crashes from time to time. it's probably due to the complexity of the page. Hopefully that is something that will get fixed by Apple over time.

Heh, wasn't one argument for the move that it is now compatible with more devices? So it has become more complex so that it gets browser unfriendly? Don't mind me.

It seems a post can't be more then 50.000 characters in the new forum software unfortunately instead of 60.000.
That is probably also the reason a part of the wiki post is strikethrough. When i try to remove the partly striked through text it mentions the limitation. The original wiki post in the notification center widget topic was/is 59.974 characters.

Unfortunately i can't add any further great widgets now.

I honestly don't like it. Way too much white. This whole clean thing is getting on my nerves that is a trend. One big thing that I find annoying is looking at threads and the alternating colors makes my eyes hurt. My eyes tend to focus on one color thread which means I don't see half the threads. I know this is probably me, but I don't see a point to alternating white/color/white/color.

Dear MR,

Your forum has HUGE issues with Chrome and loading the full DOM - I am consistently getting only the page header loading, then the page finishes loading... with ONLY the page header, and the rest blank.

PLEASE FIX IT. Thanks

I'm on Chrome and I've not incurred any issues
