Or he doesn't upload his data between each time, or something.

He did that last time....he comes from nowhere, I have actually thought he is liketom's alter ego.

I think liketom (markgjones), although he appears to not be participating, indulges in the secret joy of anonymous tail-kicking.

I'm not running much lately; I ran long for the last time on Nov 5th, for the NY marathon. Now, I'm trying to get my gf to run constantly (she is REALLY lazy) so I've barely ran 12 kms in the last 10 days at a very low pace.

Still, is there room for one more or are the spots filled? I probably wont be able to compete :) , but i would love to be part of the running brotherhood of MR.

Holy crap, you almost closed the gap since yesterday! How far do you run each time? 15km?

well i measure in miles. i run almost everyday. i try to at least get 4 miles in. sometimes i have a few short runs in the same day.

yesterday i ran almost 8 miles in one run. today only around 6

You got me, and I can't compete with 4+ miles every day. :)

awww come on. 4 miles a day isn't too bad. and actually i'll be taking a few days off this coming week.

i also do some walking. every little bit helps

OK, you're on. I'll try and step it up one notch. Good luck.

Welcome to the running club, jessica.

Even though I'm not a "challenge" kind of guy, I've been thinking of ramping up from 3 miles per day to 4. The only thing that concerns me is that I'm a total creature of habit, and 3 miles is a very comfortable run for me. I think I'll start out doing 4 miles just on the weekends and see how it goes.

Soon ;) I haven't actually received the invite. I'm not even sure where to go to just watch how the challenge is going.

.. well running didn't happen this weekend. :(

Thursday and Friday's hockey took a toll on me. Maybe Tuesday, and Wednesday, but again we'll have to see how the legs are feeling after hockey tomorrow.

awww, don't sweat it. just run a little slower and it'll actually help your legs recover

nah, just run more runs. it's easier to break it down into smaller runs. but as you get fitter, make the runs longer

I'm running (pretty consistantly) 6 or 7 days per week, 2.5+ miles at
a time. My schedule doesn't really hold any more time for running. :(

twoodcc - What kind of pace do you run at (minute/mile)?

usually i run around 7:00 a mile on average. sometimes faster. sometimes slower. it usually depends on if i'm running by myself or with someone else. When i run with my girlfriend, it's slower. when i run by myself, it's faster

it also depends on how far i'm running, clearly it's easier to run faster for a shorter run.

but i also do some walking, so that hurts my overall average pace.

I have no chance at catching the leaders.. but woot woot, cracked the top ten with run number three. A personal best 7k. Now, let's just pray I can move tomorrow to do it again.

.. was able to move today, for another 7k. Thrust myself into 9th place :p I'm coming for you twoodcc

I just purchased my first Nano, and picked up a Nike+ kit while I was at it. Thanks to the original MR running club thread I decided to try the beginner's program from runnersworld magazine, and am now working up to the 30 minutes continuous run mark. I just need to figure out how to jury-rig a holder for my non-Nike shoes. A search of the forum ought to shed some light...

BTW, the new Nano is a product red 8GB model, the little brother of my 20GB 4G model. It's beautiful.
