I'm orgasming in my pants right now... It's THAT good.

No but seriously, The new design just looks so much more solid, sleek and professional compared to the old 3G/3GS models that look like something you might pull out of a mcdonalds happy meal.

I'm sold on this one.. I'm buying.

I really like this design. It is very functional and industrial looking, which I love.

I had mentioned before how this could have a prototype case on it, where its purpose is just for testing the hardware etc. while the real design is finalized, but if this were the new design I'd be happy with it.

I may be missing something, and I could just a moron, but why did they not turn it on? Could this just be an empty case? Not trying to start anything, just wondering.

It just looks uncomfortable to hold. And how do you tell the difference between the front and the back just by holding it? The body is symmetrical in every dimension.

The ID Seems Un-Apple

It seems that the industrial design is clunky and not elegant. Why would Apple emulate the current iPhone / iPod Touch look in the iPad if they were going to radically change their form fact in two months?

Perhaps the insides are legit, but the externals don't seem right.

Here's what I think in regards to design/casing:

Likes: Flush back, glass/ceramic back is sexy, brushed aluminum sides, slightly thinner

Dislikes: Separate volume buttons, SIM slot on the side, seams on the edges

Just my opinion.

It was remote wiped. They can only get the screen telling you to plug it into iTunes.

I voted much worse for one reason: too generic.

It looks like the LG Prada phone from a few years back. It's not a bad design but it has lost the originality.

Looks like a step backwards to me.

The 3g/s shape is just about perfect future tech.

What does this mean for the ipad design?
Is that die a chunky makeover so soon?

I voted that this is better based on the internal features. I'm not really focused on the case because I think the final will be very different. Would love to know about the processor and RAM. Giz should have the iFixit guys come over and do a proper tear down.

The phone looks to square to be apple. They have tried to perfect the curve edges to make things look smaller why would they go away form that.

coming soon...

i'll be posting a list of those who gave a definitive "this is not the next iPhone" and acted like a total douche to anyone who thought it might be. :apple::apple::apple:

I value functionality over design. And this phone seems to have all the features I thought the current models were lacking. This phone is a vast inprovement to me.

I find it hard to believe that all of Apple's hardware design questions have been answered with still two to three months before these things hit the street.

This is a prototype.

It's better because it's thinner. It's all about a smaller package with the same features/greater features. It could be yellow with purple poka dots, if it's slimmer AND has better features it's great.

It's nice... but it looks like a freaking Zune. It also looks like the back will scratch easier and it could crack easier as the glass is kind of elevated from the phone.
If Apple can make it look somehow a bit nicer, great, because it looks like a Nokia from the photos. I'm sure it would look better in person though.
Oh well, I'd still buy it though.

Much better IMO. After 2 generations of the same design, a change is welcomed. :)
