Could you check Safari -> Develop-> console in debug mode when it happens?
thanks
Here is the timeline and what is in the console for the same.
Right now, I am logged in, debug is off, typing this message, and my CPU looks like this:

2. I'd be curious to see if "Debug Triggered" appears more than once.
Just once on each page load.

My issue is with the iPhone.
Thanks to another user post I solved the Mac CPU usages simply adding
127.0.0.1 ads.adthrive.com
127.0.0.1 ads.pubmatic.com
to my HOST file on my Mac. No need to use an ADBlocker.
I tried the same on my iPhone (adding several servers to my router and blocking them), but it doesn't worked
unfortunately.
Yes, exactly. So you saw high cpu at the same time you only saw one debug triggered message per page load?

Thanks. There goes that theoryYes, exactly.

Thanks to your post, my issue was solved on the Mac. ☺️??adthrive again - for me this domain turned out to be the culprit, and ever since I blocked it with Little Snitch, the MR Forums work like a charm. Has not acted up once ever since.

Not problems since then.
Unfortunately not worked for the iPhone. I blocked adthrive with my router and also tried an ADBlock and is still burning my hand.
Do you had the problem in your iPhone as well?
Honestly, I'm not really surfing MacRumors on my phone. So I'm afraid I won't be of much help in that regards.
I find it curious that even with an AdBlocker you can't get it to behave on your phone. Because when I did the testing on my Mac, an AdBlocker solved the issue for me as well, but I did not want to keep it on all the time and for all sites, so that's why I kept looking for another solution.
But with the AdBlocker active, do you see any ads on the MacRumors page and/or forums on your iPhone?
Unfortunately I am not tech-savvy enough to really know how different platforms (Mac, iPhone) handle sites differently, but I would consider it odd that blocking a domain on the Mac helps, while blocking all ads (and thus that domain as well) on the iPhone does not help at all.
Unless the cause for the iPhone issue is something completely different ... :-/
Ya sorry to hear that it got worse.Tried 3 different ad blockers on my iPhone. Not ad's were displayed but the issue persisted.
I think that's something else happening on the iPhone. Maybe an iOS bug? Not sure at this point.
A couple weeks ago, Arn did some changes and it was fixed on my side, but since the last week has been unbearable.
Is worse than ever right now. ??♂️
Turning off Javascript was never presented as a solution. Just a data-point to see if it helped or not.I went under Debug mode, and tried turning off JavaScript but I use too many websites,
I thought turning off Javascript was a possible fix? I am merely saying for me that won’t work since I need it on for many other websites I use daily. This is an interesting problem. I wonder if any other forum moderators are experiencing this.
I’m sure ads can cause it. But if it was just ads this thread would be over a long time agoIt definitely has to do with ads. I have not had this problem since I became a contributor.
@arn - for contributors, do you just remove ads, or is there more that is removed?
