wow

now I'm starting to get upset. I am getting all the info for my boyfriend cause he is in class and now I can't get what is going on.

I like the idea of iPhoto using face detection for slideshows. I often use the pan/zoom effects for slideshows of people, and it almost always screws up when zooming in on a portrait-orientation full-body photo of a person. Previous versions tended to zoom into somewhere toward the middle of the photo, and let's just say that's not his face...

Very embarrassing if you don't get a chance to totally preview every transition. Did I mention these are slideshows made to live audiences?

9:42AM "I want to talk about one feature. 'Learn to play' there's a new user interface, and it teaches you how to play an instrument."

9:41AM "Isn't that impressive? So that's just some of the features in iMovie 09... so that's the second app in iLife... I'd like to talk to you about one more, the new GarageBand 09."

I was wondering when apple was going to add this in.

At least it's spiced up an otherwise hitherto boring keynote address.

The Garageband lessons feature seems really good, I think I'll be buying it.

But first... gotta see how much the extra lessons cost. There has to be a catch.

iPhoto, iMovie (no mention of firewire), Garageband? Is this all? Man, they wanted to be like Sony –*they have more than succeeded. When on earth do they talk about anything other than this kind of crap?

Jason Chen:
On the Piano, Sarah McLachlan, Ryan from OneRepublic, Norah Jones, but no Chris Martin from Coldplay, whom I will never admit having intercourse with.

haha where is john mayer when you need him

Here is the catch:

9:47AM - The artist lessons are $4.99 per lesson, purchasable online. They give you the story behind the songs… playing a clip of Fogerty: “Well, it was early ‘68. As best as I can remember it.” Laughter.
