Those who need * hours on a Macbook Pro are those who fly overseas ALL THE TIME....i think....

This iTune$ thing does not excite me in the very least. I have never DL'd a song from iTune$ and never will.
 
Agreed I hope some of the new features on the 17" mbp trickle down to the other notebooks including the mb

And did I mention I hate Phil!
 
WTH Apple? All you release are Macbook updates these days. I know it's your bread and butter but I had cash in hand to buy a new iMac or Mini. Won't be doing that now. I don't want you 2 year old spare parts for full price!

I don't know why I even get excited about these things, seams like I'm the total opposite of their target market.

It's not dead. The rumors are likely accurate, but the whole desktop line is getting pushed back. Remember, the iMac was due for an update as well (as was the Mac Pro and Displays).

Wow. Totally underwhelming. I can't believe that's ALL they've got for today.

you had to kind of figure it though, since he spent almost an entire hour on iLife to take up time.

No iMac updates, no Mac Mini updates (TOTALLY pathetic), no updated displays. I don't think people have been sitting at the edge of their seats for an update to the 17" MBP..... :rolleyes:

Yawn.

Well in reality it is probably 4 hours under normal use.
and 1000x charges is 2.7 years... Of charging once a day... Perhaps less if you need to charge twice a day.

I want my MacBook Pro to run for 4-5 years. I guess I will go with Lenovo. A laptop even with OS X isn't useful if the battery will not work in 3 years. And I need to pay an arm and a leg to get it replaced.
 
there better be some bloomin store updates as this keynote has been absolutely boring, nothing remotely interesting. 17" macbook was a given, do like the matte option (better be on 15" or I hear an uproar) but I can't say the usual yearly updates needed a keynote, even with all the 'iPhone' extra's :rolleyes:

The 17" MacBook Pro is the default film set machine. It's EVERYWHERE I've worked. I would say that multimedia professional are it's key market, hence the matte HD display.
