Any Apple purchases just before MWSF are ill-advised.
And you KNOW they'll at least make you think it is well worth it.
It's what Apple does.

not always. I was in my local store Sunday looking at iMacs. and the sales guy actually told me to wait. he said that they aren't told what is going to happen but a price cut or even a specs change is possible since there hasn't been one in a little while. as he put it, why put myself out having to come back for a price adjustment or to do a return open box. after all, it's only two more days. and then if I don't see something I like in the new things I can always come back. Or if they do remodel, the old one would be marked down and I could possibly save a couple of hundred bucks and use that money to get AppleCare basically for free.

so at least this guy wasn't looking to make a buck right then.

Ya, nothing here for me either. :( Thought it was work filters, but maybe not... Gizmodo's coverage is good though!

The tagging feature in the new iphoto just sounds like facebook. Don't know how useful/popular it will be since most pics are online nowadays.

MR Live working fine for me. going straight to macrumors.com will redirect you, try that.

macrumorslive is down. Maybe they forgot to renew their domain.

i am on it right now.

i bet there is too much traffic. I loaded it at like 8am.

just a quick comment before I go back. Phil has basically said that this is a Mac day. no iphone talk, no ipod talk

but it is new software and hardware. he is starting with ilife. iphoto has been updated was the first comment.
looks like a first attempt at facial recognization. and some geotagging. both in events sorts of set ups.

and I like that he's willing to come out and say that they aren't 100% perfect. that these are works in progress. I think that that is good after the MobileMe thing.

hopefully Macrumors will publish a summary for folks that couldn't get in during the updates in a little while

software is great and all... but i need some new hardware! my old 17" powerbook just isn't cutting it anymore! time to upgrade. tell me what i'm upgrading to, mr. schiller. :D
