I just rolled the dice and ordered this. No details on shipping time yet but thought you'd all like to check it out.

I'm eager to hear your feedback on this as soon as you get it. I'm a bit dubious about their 15W output claim because I have assumed that unless the phone gets an NFC handshake (presumably to ensure MFI compliance) then I didn't think you could get the full 15W. So I'd assume that unless this product team got that certification/nfc component in place, this would be just a standard 7.5w charger with the benefit of using the Magsafe magnet geometry. But I could be wrong...in fact I hope I am.

I'm also curious to know if the magnets are "stronger" than those on the Magsafe puck. While my puck-taped-to-dashboard setup has been ok thus far, I'd feel better if the magnetic hold was a smidge stronger when coupled with my leather Magsafe case.

Car vent mounts suck. Plus I refuse to use anything that isn't officially MagSafe compatible. I'm happy to patiently wait.

The car vent mount aspect is not as important as the Zeera seems to use the standard Garmin ball mechanism to attach to the "vent" mount. There are zillions of other mounting methods that can couple w/ the Garmin ball. Just search amazon for Garmin mount.

What worries me, is that looking at their YouTube channel, NONE of the videos show the Magsafe animation indicating full power charging. Right now I'm leaning toward this being just another 7.5w QI charger much like the ESR unit.

I know! Very curious as well... you would at least need a 20W power adapter for the car. So that I'm unsure about. Charging is secondary to me personally, it's more about the mount.

But look at this that they posted.

I've already got the requisite car charger with plenty of power... I guess I'd have to toss their USB-C to USB-A cord into a drawer and use my USB-C to USB-C cable...which is no problem. Now you've got me tempted to roll the dice and give this thing a try.

Well this made me roll the dice too! they have a few videos showing vibration etc. Also they have a case with magnets for just 15 dollars more. The apple one is super expensive. I have an ESR holder that shipped but looks bulky. I will try both once I have them and report back.

I have the Apple magsafe silicon case and an air vent Scosche mount. It grips but as i drive, it slides off. Was considering maybe putting a plate in the bottom half of the case.. It will be a pain in the butt because I think my MagSafe charger might stick to the plate, but I need a solution for when im in the car...

or I just give in and buy the Belkin one ($40 for a car mount with not charging!!!)
Hey man i did put a plate on my iphone 12 pro max in the lower part of my clear case but is it possible to ruin smth because of the magnetic build in ? And i dont use magsafe.

I'm going to say they're not.
Is ZEERA MagSafe Car Charger compatible with Official Leather MagSafe Case?
Yes, it does. But we don't recommend wearing a Leather MagSafe Case While attaching your iPhone 12 to ZEERA MagSafe Charger cause the finish of this Leather case is too slippery and won't be able to hold your iPhone 12 securely while driving.

I’m quoting their own FAQ
Gotcha. Well I guess that makes sense. Again, magnets are stronger when you try to pull them apart perpendicular to each other, rather than slide them parallel. For the sliding style action, you'll want as much friction as you can get like a silicon case coupled with the silicon ring on that charger.

I would be a bit worried that a metal bumper could hurt reception. How has your reception been?
There are non metal parts where the reception bands would be on the phone. I had the same bumper for my XS Max and no reception issues at all. It even has a non metal section of where the newly added 5G reception portion of the phone.

Just to add my $0.02, I just tested my ESR Halolock and works beautifully. I have a 12 Pro Max with a magsafe leather case and the phone sticks perfectly to the mount, does not move at all and can be easily removed without taking the mount with you. Very happy with my purchase. I haven't tried charging yet, but that was secondary to me as I hardly ever charge my phone in the car ad when I do I already have cables for that.

When did you order? Still waiting on mine :( :( I ordered 10/24

I'm in the crowd that also doesn't like the vent mounting option. My friend has a Rokform iPhone case and a simple round magnet on a flat part of the dash. It's brilliant. Except it doesn't support wireless charging without removing the magnet in the case. 😐

I really hoped MagSafe was going to allow a [minimalist] car mount with a magnet sticker, but it seems I was wrong.

It would appear that the Zeera mentioned earlier in this thread can do that, since the ball mount is optional, the actually magnet holder could be mounted in other ways

Yea Zeera said I could order the magnetic charger portion by itself. I just have to add charger only when buying and they’d give a 25 percent discount.

if you cared that much just make one. You can get magnets online that are big enough. Two sided tape it wherever you want and then stick on the magsafe charger.

I just bought this one. Will update when it arrives.
Cheaper than the Zeera but has the orientation magnet so I'm hoping it will be stronger/more secure.
And it looks like it also has a standard ball mount.

Just curious, does the phone play a MagSafe animation when you attach it?

Good review. Apparently the magnet connection is stronger when using a MagSafe case versus a naked iPhone.
