I keep waiting for Apple to NOT bungle a software update in some way. But that doesn't seem to be the current trend.
It feels like it's just for job security on Apple's part. Like not selling refrigerators that last 100 years.
After getting my iPhone 6 bricked with iOS 8.0.1 I promised myself that I would always wait at least 1 week before upgrading my iToys.
I didn't listen to my own advice and now the Touch Id on my iPhone 6 and iPad Air 2 doesn't work in the App Store....
I honestly think we should start a petition to bring back Scott Forstall !
Since he was fired, iOS quality has gone down, BIG TIME..before it was smooth like butter
I know iMaps was his fault, but only because it was rushed.....
LETS BRING BACK SCOTT !!!!![]()
Touch ID is working now in the App Store. It wasn't earlier today but appears to have been fixed without requiring a software update
Sounds like the AppStore issues are resolved... but someone had previously posted that the problem was happening with 1Password too...
Can anyone with 8.3 and 1Password confirm whether or not TouchID is still working? I could never go back. Like the dark ages without TouchID. ;-)
Thanks for any notes on that! ;-)
You have to do some changes in password setting then Touch ID start working again
I show you what i did ..
Did you miss the posts that point out that this is working now? Apparently just a temporary glitch with Apple's servers, not iOS.Here's an idea. What we should all do is refuse to upgrade to iOS9 then Cook would be so embarrassed that he would have to sort this Quality Control mess. This is not a one off. This is every new release. Every ****ing one. I'm a busy person I don't have time for this **** time after time.
That's the way it's always worked (If you've restarted your phone or cancelled out of TouchID previously). And hop on 1 foot holding a donut on your ring finger while tapping your head and whistle.....![]()
All working fine here, now. Related question: does anyone know where the setting is that allows you to toggle whether the App Store remembers you're signed in for 15 minutes?
I strongly agree with you regarding the quality/functionality issues.
Likewise I believe their was some sort of internal politics that cost Forstall his job. One shouldn't have to win a popularity contest to keep their job.
Following Apple very closely as an avid Supporter / Shareholder / Loyal Customer since 1991, the big picture that I've chronicled from then till the present reflects Apple's finished shipped Operating Systems were better when he was part of the staff.
