On balance FB needs apple on side. Millions of people use iphones and ipads, and the app store hosts the FB app.

How exactly is Zuck going to 'inflict pain'?

I can see Tim watching all this play out from his office while he finishes a bag of oranges.

I have started to despise the "Internet". We need a new parallel communications portal. One that is devoid of tracking bots. Never thought I'd miss the old 300 baud direct dial-up days.

Apple is a company that has a long history of innovation that advances the state of the art. Facebook is a data harvesting company with no real value beyond that which is gleaned surreptitiously from their users.

Big difference, Mark. Apple will be here long after Facebook is just a bad memory.

Grab some popcorn this is gonna be fun to watch. Not only are the feds/govts around the world going after big tech, they’re turning on each other

Meanwhile, the lockdown app continues to be worth its proverbial weight on gold, routinely blocking thousands of trackers from google and facebook each day.

What lockdown app? I ask out of interest. I use Safari and love the tracker blocking functionality, but if there are other tracking blockers (especially if their scope isn't limited to Safari), that would be nice. :)

Sweet, that looks good. I don't install a lot of apps on my iPhone or iPad that I can get to via a web browser, but it will still be good to have an app to help prevent tracking outside of Safari.

Thanks again!
