Amazon page is updated to say the item will not be released until April 21. Gives same date for the Eco Vue. MicroShell folio page remains unchanged since yesterday.

i'd like to get your guys thoughts

so there is the microshell and the microshell folio.

the microshell says it is compatible with the smart cover, the folio basically has it's own smart cover. Do you think the cover on the folio is going to be detachable. Lets say we don't want a cover. take it all the way off. Or if we would like to actually use it with a nice colorful smart cover, we could combine them.

had my ipad out of the book jacket tonight, love the feeling of it on it's own. probably going to go to just a cover for the front then either a shell or a skin for the back. sleeve for travel. seems like overkill, but i just want it protected for traverl and also for day to day use, while not giving up the great parts of it (so thin)

I just pre-ordered the Marware CEO hybrid ipad2 case via their web sites, do anyone know when will the case be avaliable for delivery......thanks a lot.

I talked to their customer support and they are thinking they will be shipping either end of next week or beginning of the following week. Can't wait to get this case...just hope it comes before my trip!

The microshell would be good if you only want backside protection, but then I'd definitely get a screen protector. The folio looked great to me at first, but the thing that made me purchase the CEO Hybrid was that the inside microfiber cover of the microshell folio touches the table or whatever else you lay it on when using it as a stand. I was afraid I'd pick up junk and it'd get applied to the screen when I closed the case.

The CEO Hybrid exterior is always the surface in contact with the table/surface, but the only downside I see with the CEO Hybrid is that you have to remove two of the corners from the case to use it as a horizontal stand. In looking at reviews on the web for the iPad 1 version, it didn't seem too bad. So I'm going to try it out.

still debating what to do even though i have the microshell folio on order. Still have the incase bookjacket in front of me right now, I taped a magnet to the inside cover, so now it sleeps and wakes it. love the addition. Still a big heavy case though. It is growing on me, but everytime i take the ipad out of the case i am like "holy ***** i forgot how thin you were"

so i am still thinking of the CEO, i don't know why i am torn on it, i would like to hold one, but i don't have anywhere to even look at an ipad 1 versions. for those of you that were looking at the Speck cases, they added a new one

http://www.speckproducts.com/tablet-ipad-cases/ipad-2-cases/ipad-2-cases-fitfolio-red.html

personally I am a big fan of it. It looks a lot like I am looking for. Except they didn't put any magnets in it (what is with speck avoiding this). So instead you get an elastic loop for the closure device again. Insane. JUST PUT MAGNETS IN IT. Could be a great case if they did that to hold it close like the smart cover. Along with sleep/wake

Also, the rubber looks a bit thick for my taste. Protective yes, but it looks bulky. Why doesn't ANY case manf actually give the freakin dimensions of it, I want to know how thick it is with an ipad, that will determine if i buy it.

None the less, it looks nice, interesting way to make the stand. I like the red (our company color is red and the ipad "is" theirs), anything but black. I will keep my eye out at target. It isn't in their system at all yet.

Also very similar to the CEO is the Scosche FoldIO. Again i like the look. It comes in white and black, and both of them come in fake leather or fake carbon fiber. The white carbon looks great, although i do worry about it getting crazy dirty. Also, i think the Scosche fails in the side protection etc, where as the CEO added that from the ipad1 version. Seems like scosche was copying the version 1 CEO while marware was making it even better.

They updated their Twitter feed yesterday. Case should be shipping soon!!

C.E.O. Hybrid UPDATE - Thanks for your patience, pre-orders for the new C.E.O. Hybrid (with automatic sleep/wake function) have been huge and you've been very patient. We hoped a shipment would leave our factory SATURDAY to arrive today but this shipment was delayed due to freight problems. We expect an update tomorrow indicating product is en route to us, and then we'll update you on how soon we can fill orders.

Amazon dropped down to 28.25, which is the same price of the iPad 1 version. Still lists 1-2 months on page and my order still says April 29-May 5 @ $23.99.

re This can be ordered now (deliver when available) at Amazon.com for $23.99.

I went to the link today at Amazon, and the price now is back to that on the Marware site - $49.99... :(

Talked to Marware Today... :(

I spoke to Marware customer support on Monday (April 11th) and they said that they were expecting the shipment from the factories to arrive this morning (after having already been delayed at least once before). When I talked to them again today, I found out that there was another unspecified delay. It turns out that they didn't receive the shipment today and they couldn't give me any details on when the new expected arrival date was. So the long wait for any good news continues...

Also, did anyone else notice that Adorama.com is selling this for $29.99 with free shipping? That sounded too good to pass up (since I already missed the Amazon deal) so I went ahead and ordered from them and cancelled my order from Marware. It'll probably take a little longer to receive it than it would have from Marware directly, but the price makes up for it.

This is the case I have liked the most, but not sure if I'll get it or not due to all the delays of it coming out.

The only thing that worries me about this case is the snapping in/out the one side of the iPad if that will cause it to get loose, or cause stress on the iPad. But I really like it's look and slim profile, yet has padding.

The only other case that interests me is the Easyswitch Cara case.

Looking at the Marware site this morning the listing for this product has now been updated to "Now Shipping" however my pre order has not shipped out yet - I suspect this will happen tonight.

Guys,

I need help, I can't decide between the speck and marware case:
the speck case seems better because for the marware you need to remove 2 corners of the ipad from the enclosure to use the positions, where as the speck only required the cover.

The thing I like about the Marware over the speck is the fact that the speck covers all of the sides so its more enclosed. But I don't think its worth the price.
Can someone please help me choose?

edit: I have read some reviews on macrumour forums and some people are saying it is heavy. I think I will just get the marware for now as it will be in the house anyway so its not a big deal if its not as protected, but it has the smart cover function as well as magnet closing mechanism, and it doesn't look like a rubber floor mat

edit: I still can't decide. Anyone have any thoughts?

I'd appreciate help in choosing. I will be using the case with the back folded most of the time and the viewing mode 2-3 times throughout the week.

It shipped!

I contacted Marware for a status update and was told my CEO Hybrid for ipad 2 shipped on Friday. I will have to decide between this and the Switcheasy Canvas in Charcoal, which will also be delivered within the next couple of days.

Do yourself a favor and DON'T get the Speck case. It's very heavy and adds a ton of weight to the ipad...especially the front cover. Also, it's not stable in the upright position and falls over very easy. If anything go with this case, the STM Skinny or the Toblino 2. Those are probably your 3 best bets.
