Bummer about the case probably not working with screen and back protectors, especially when the back is exposed while in stand positions.

Love my ghost amor on the front and back, looks like I'll have to stay with my GA, smart cover, and leather tote combo.

Tough to say. Reason being - like you saw in the video you slide the iPad into the case. I don't think that will bubble up front protectors but I'm not 100% sure since there are a few parts on the case touching the screen when it slides in.

I received mine yesterday and had no trouble or bubbling with my PowerSupport Crystal protector on. I think the case in general is a nice tight fit, so I took a few extra seconds to slide my ipad into the case to ensure my PS crystal would not bubble/peel back. It does add a little bit of weight, but I'd take that any day instead of risking the damage of my ipad. The grooves for holding the ipad in "stand mode" really work well, especially when testing with my 14 month old daughter. She touched the screen several times while watching a video without the ipad falling out of the groove. I did not experience any "spongy" bouncing when touch typing in the full collapsed position unless I deliberately pressed very unnaturally hard on the screen. Overall, great fit-up and no mfg defects on my case. Glad I bought it!

Sorry everyone about the delay in the side by side video. I will do my best to crank this out today. Unfortunately I did not pick up a scale so weight will not be part of the compare.

I have a bunch of back to back meetings today but if I can swing it I'll film later this afternoon and post tonight. ;)

Psychonaut,

Just wanted to say that you are a great resource. Thanks for taking the time to provide so much valuable information and insight. I know all these reviews must take a lot of time on your part, and I wanted to thank you.

What????? You have an actual life? Well, OK, guess we'll have to wait :).

Looking forward to the comparison video. I've got the Switcheasy on order. Also have the Toblino 2. It's probably more me, but I'm not that thrilled with the Toblino. Seems really hard to clasp and un-clasp the bottom prongs (the design is similar to the CEO Hybrid). That's why I really like your video reviews showing the cases in action.

Video is completed and uploading to my Channel now. Hope this helps you all out.

Thanks for the comparison video! I feel good about my decision to preorder the Marware now; weight and a slim profile are pretty important to me, and the Canvas definitely looks bulkier than I want.

Switcheasy OR Marware?!

just about ready to buy either Switcheasy Canvas OR Marware Hybrid...only issue for me now is, which one will work better with Ghost Armor on?...and trying to decide whether to do Ghost Armor on front AND back or just front...also, I may want to be able to take the ipad out and put it back in on occasions (for use in an Akai synthstation keyboard), so this is a concern for me as well...opinions?

Great video. I have a feeling I will be watching it a few more times to aid my decision process. Haha. I don't know why I'm making this such a big deal! They are both great cases.

Well my switcheasy will be arriving in a couple days. If I feel it is too bulky/heavy I'll probably go ahead and order the CEO hybrid and then decide which one to return. I hate buying things intentionally knowing I will return one, but it may come down to that.

Has anyone with a scale weighed the CEO hybrid? The canvas is 13.8 ounces I believe.

Also, they appear to have very different viewing angles. The canvas seems to have all of the stand position be very "upright". The lowest angle looks to be approx the same as the highest stand setting on the CEO hybrid. Then the next notch on the hybrid looks about the same as the canvas' typing positions. Then the hybrid has the one lowest "typing position".

This will be my first case so which tend to be more typical positions. I would think the hybrid would be better for browsing and the canvas would be better suited for viewing videos. But I dunno

I'm really overanalyzing this I think... :p

I weighed mine this morning and the CEO Hybrid plus PowerSupport Crystal film comes out to 10.8 ounces. I can't imagine the PS film weighing too much of the 10.8oz. My wifi version plus CEO Hybrid and PS film totaled 2 lbs almost exactly.

Does anyone else find it cumbersome having to pop out the two corners in order to put the ipad in tilt position? I hate having to do this every time I want to put it in tilt position. Other than that aspect, I really like the case, and it feels nice and solid.

Dangka, that's my biggest worry if mine ever ships. I don't understand why none of the case makers are using the extra row of magnets on the left edge that the Smart Cover hooks to. I have some neodymium magnets lying around; I'm considering modifying my CEO Hybrid to snap to those magnets instead of using the left hooks.

I'm sold on this case (or the switcheasy canvas), however, is there a spot on this case to hang a stylus?
I'm buying this for my dad and it would be nice if there is a place for a stylus.
Otherwise, I will have to buy a 3-pack (stylii) because there is no doubt he will keep losing them all yr round

Debating between the CEO Hybrid and the Switcheasy. I have both, but can't decide. Having to always pop the two corners out in order to tilt it might be a dealbreaker for the CEO Hybrid. I would think that the two corners would loosen and possibly get too loose over time after constantly popping the corners in and out. But maybe that won't happen. For the Switcheasy, the clasp is just so darn tight and hard to close right now. But that too will probably break in and be fine after a little while. I'm torn between the two, but now I'm leaning toward the Switcheasy because of the easy tilt.

The case fits so snug on the device that you would have to clip it on the outside, but the part of the clip on the inner side of the clip would probably touch the device. As dumb as I originally thought, the headphone jack clip on the Boxwave stylus really works well.

As for the left clips, I have no problem with that and if they do loosen up over time, the other clips seem tight enough to hold the case on the ipad. I kind of like this feature.

Received my CEO Hybrid case yesterday, awesome materials and great build quality, looks great! However, there are a couple of deal breakers for me:

-The case adds quite of bit of bulk and weight to the Ipad 2. For comparison, my Ipad 1 with the apple case was both lighter and not as bulky. This kind of defeats the purpose of having a thinner and lighter ipad2, and I really don't need this much protection.

-Really miss the lap positioning that I had with the original apple Ipad case. Having to snap the case out of the two upper clasps is a real pain every time I want to use the Ipad. I just can't find a comfortable lap position without removing the two clasps (really missing the fold-able flap on the front side of the case for propping up on my lap).

I have decided to go with a similar case in the link below (AYL 5-in-1):

This case has the fold-able flap on the front of the case, thus it provides an extra typing/lap position, without having to remove the Ipad from the upper clasps. It does not have the auto sleep/wake, but I plan on modifying it to add this feature.

I suspect you will know why this is bumped before I even say it....

Marware CEO just shipped from Amazon!

(kept my 23.99 price, too!)

CEO hybrid +skin ?

anyone successfully using this case with a body skin like ghost armor or zagg on front AND back?..will those tabs you need to pop on and off when switching into stand position and back tear my skin?

Thanks

How are others finding the weight and bulk of this case ? Starting to get put off by the review above saying it comes out heavier than the original iPad and case.

Also how are people finding screen protectors working with this case. One positive review above.
