Do yourself a favor and DON'T get the Speck case. It's very heavy and adds a ton of weight to the ipad...especially the front cover. Also, it's not stable in the upright position and falls over very easy. If anything go with this case, the STM Skinny or the Toblino 2. Those are probably your 3 best bets.

don't forget the switcheasy canvas.

I despise the Speck Pixelskin though. On top of that it messed up my screen protector by lifting it up and bending the protector at the end when I was trying to put it on. I guess that's more my fault but that doesn't change the fact that it feels like I'm carrying around 2 ipads when I had it in that case. Glad to get my money back.

Now I'm just hoping we can get some info on this case from the one person who has it so far. Looking forward to hearing the impressions of it.

This was always one of my most anticipated cases because I love the strap that's included on the inside of the case and the protection it offers. That's why my main concern is the weight since it'd be a deal breaker if this thing weighed it down as much as the speck pixelskin.

Tolbino case and SLM Skinny are 2 excellent cases also for anyone who might have stumbled into this thread looking for ideas.

Just got my CEO case moments ago in the mail. Marware even included a free set of ear buds (don't look to be the best quality but still a nice gesture).

Fit is real nice, sleep/wake works fine with no issues when folded back like a book. Stand positions are very stable with the grooves being semi deep to prevent the iPad from falling out. When you put the iPad in stand mode it does expose the back of the device.

I need a scale to weigh my cases but it seems a hair lighter than my SwitchEasy Canvas but it is slimmer. In comparison if you took the back canvas piece off the SwitchEasy but left everything else in tact that's how thick it is.

I'll try shooting a video tonight if I can, otherwise I'll have something posted by tomorrow on my channel.

Oh, one other thing... The exterior is nice, a faux carbon look but feels good in the hand. I did notice one blemish on it but nothing major.

Is the Switcheasy heavy? I don't know much about that case. I'm not sure what to compare it too if you haven't seen any other cases. I'm more concerned with it not being as heavy as the Speck Pixelskin. Not sure if you've tried out that case or the SLM Skinny......the SLM is probably about as light as you can get.

EDIT - Just realized you have a youtube channel with all the reviews. I've actually been following your reviews and they've been very helpful and informative so thanks. I didn't realize you were the same person.

So how does this case compare in weight to the Speck? Is it lighter? How much heavier is it then the STM Skinny?

Psychonaut,

Which do you prefer between the Switcheasy Canvas and the Marware CEO Hybrid? I have both coming and wanted to know what your favorite is after seeing and trying out both. Thanks!

I'm with u! What is the weight difference between the two, and the thickness difference. I already ordered the switcheasy but I am seriously thinking about ordering this one and returning one of the two.

down to Marware or Switcheasy Canvas I think..

I have the Pixelskin HD here...ya, i'd say it's too heavy...hoping to see if Marware CEO is lighter...for me it's down to Switcheasy Canvas or Marware CEO....still want the protection and stand positions + sleep/wake...but, not quite the bulk of the Pixelskin...and not happy with the sticky strip touching the screen (or screen protector which i will put on)

waiting for the impressions of this Marware eagerly!

-Thanks for the great forum!

I'll give you something better, a video :)

I'll be editing it in about an hour from now so expect it on my channel by 10pm pacific at latest.

As to which I prefer (Canvas or CEO) that's a tough one. I really like the extra protection of the Canvas but the CEO is really nice! I'll keep the CEO on for a good few days before making a final decision.

One comment for those that use back skins - I doubt it will work with the CEO case. It's a tight fit on it's own so I don't know how a back skin would impact that since I have taken all my skins off.

I think I need to buy a scale since I get so many weight questions. Random judgment of weight says the CEO is just slightly lighter but that's a best guess and I'm not all that great at weight guessing.

Thickness wise, if you omitted only the back canvas on the SwitchEasy case leaving only the top canvas and bottom plastic shell that's how thick the CEO would be.

I'll do a side by side video tomorrow, heck might even buy a cheap scale as well. More to come...

Is it lighter than the Pixelskin? Lol another weight question. That's my only point of comparison for a case though. Looking forward to the review on your channel.

Great! Look forward to it! As well as your CEO vid that should be up soon! :)

Oh and you don't have a toblino 2 on The way by chance do u? I was also considering that one, but I had eliminated it in favor of the switcheasy canvas. I still have some reminiscing thoughts about it though :p

Just finished watching your video review. It came out great! I can't wait to receive my case.

ghost armor on front+Marware Hybrid CEO?

Thanks for the review of the Marware Psychonaut!...so, if I went with just a FRONT Ghost Armor on my ipad 2, do you think it would fit this case OK?...i noticed you mentioned it could be an issue with the back skin...but what about just the front?

Tough to say. Reason being - like you saw in the video you slide the iPad into the case. I don't think that will bubble up front protectors but I'm not 100% sure since there are a few parts on the case touching the screen when it slides in.

I pre-ordered the CEO Hybrid thinking it had everything I wanted: not too heavy, decent protection, sleep/wake magnets, hand strap (I really want this), and several viewing angles. However after seeing your video, I see one frustrating flaw: you have to unhook the left side every time you want to prop the screen up. How annoying is it to have to unhook that every time? The Switcheasy Canvas looks super convenient for propping it up.

Definitely looks like a winner. I'm a big fan of the strap. Thank god I'm finally done looking for cases. Between this and the Toblino 2 I'm good.

I got lucky when ordering this case on Amazon and got it for 20.99 (must have been a price mistake) so I kept my order even after receiving the Toblino. Too good a deal on this one. I'll have 2 cases going forward. :)

As far as the stand function....I'm a fan of how this one works. I find this to be MUCH more stable then the stands that fold back like the Smart cover or the Speck Pixelskin. Those fall over easily.

It's not that big of a deal to me so long as those clasps do not wear out over time. So far so good.

I am really torn between the CEO and Canvas. They both are strong in different areas. While I like the extra protection that the Canvas gives there is something about the CEO that just feels right. I will admit, I really like having the back of my iPad covered and protected when in stand mode and the CEO does not do that.

Tough decision on these two and I am still not sure which I prefer.

BTW - for those of you who have been asking about the weight of these cases I am planning to pick up a scale today and should be able to report back soon.

Hey Psychonaut. Again an awesome review!

Which is more stable and rigid in the viewing notches, this or the Switcheasy Canvas? Or both equally good?
