anyone who already has the CEO hybrid, how much do you actually use the handstrap? Are you finding it to be very useful in actual use?

I use mine quite a bit because it takes the stress off your thumb and fingers from holding it. I prefer to flip everything 180 degrees so I can support the iPad with most of my hand and not just fingers. Love the case so far!!

Wanted to add my thoughts about this case since I finally received mine yesterday after pre-ordering from Amazon for $23 a while back.

So far have tried the Speck Pixel Skin HD, generic leather folio from Buy.com, Gelaskins back with Smart Cover, and a TPU case from eBay. The CEO Hybrid is definitely the keeper for me.

One of my favorite features of the Smart Cover is the sleep/wake function, and this case also having it made it easy to give up the smart cover. It has a very solid build, and does not feel cheap like a lot of other cases I have seen.

I left my Gelaskin on the back, and did end up cutting about a very small piece off at the two points where the front cover attaches to the iPad when closed, as it was starting to push up. Otherwise the Gelaskin is not affected.

Would definitely recommend this case.

For those of you that ordered this case directly from Marware, how long did it take to get the item after you ordered it? I placed my order today but was curious how long the expected wait time would be.

Anybody having trouble with the two clasps at top and bottom that keeps the cover closed. I find myself having to force the clasps. I am returning to see if replacement might close easier.

I don't touch the bottom one. I lift the top one to clip it when I close and open using the ridge at the power button.

Just order one from amazon.com. offered by amazon too so prime members can benefit from it. $31.95.
Marware C.E.O Hybrid Ipad 2

fishy though because I purchased it on thursday for 49.99 when amazon had it in stock but never shipped. Checked today and it dropped. So i canceled and reordered it.

Had mine shipped via overnight shipping and just got it yesterday! Absolutely in love with it and the price I got it for :) Win-win situation! I am planning on posting a detailed review soon! Those of you that have doubts about this case- stay tuned!

I can't wait for mine to come in! I think I will like it more than the switcheasy... But I dunno.

Couple questions. How is the opening and closing with the clips on the top and bottom? Do you have to exert pressure on both sides or can you just close the case and they will automatically snap in? And how is opening it? I have the firm clasp on the switcheasy so I worry about these things :p

Also can you close the lid without snapping the bottom two corners on? How difficult are those braces to snap in and out of?

I find the two clasps to close the cover at top and bottom extremely difficult. I couldn't get them to close no matter how hard I pressed them. I may have gotten a defective one. Will exchange to see.

I just received my case from Marware and it looks great. They shipped it out rather quickly (unlike the Switcheasy Canvas fiasco I'm going through).

One of the bottom clips that have to be undone in order to view it in different angles is pretty tight and requires two hands to unclip. Is this common or do I need to worry about a return? It is really tough to unclip right now. I hope it will loosen over time.

Well I'm having shipping fiasco with the CEO hybrid because I ordered from Adorama for $30. I ordered on 23 April and still hasn't shipped :( Although to be fair, they were forthcoming when I ordered, stating they didn't expect to get any till 30 April. But now I'm still waiting... As long as I get it within my 45 day return window with switcheasy I'm gonna be ok :)

That is troubling.. If it is only one of the two clips it is probably a defect, although it may not be worth the exchange if it will loosen up over time... Can you close the case without putting in the corners? How easy is it to open/close?

Wow, pretty disappointed with this case. As an owner of the first gen for ipad 1, I was expecting it to be perfect like it's predeccesor. The fit of the case tells you it was rushed out for production. I too experience the difficult snapping into the bottom clasps. Not at all the case with the 1st gen. Also if you have a skin on it, it WILL dig into it. I have a perfectly installed BSE on the back that was ruined. I wouldn't make a big deal out of it, but my 1st gen had a BSE on it as well and it was fine. So, even for 23.00, I am sadly returning this. Will probably try the Napa leather one being discussed in another thread. Sad. I thought they were the end all be all...

I think that I will have to either return my CEO Hybrid or exchange it. The bottom right inside clasp is extremely difficult to undo. My wife can't do it and I have to use two hands to undo it. Very frustrating.

The inside clasps that have to be undone for the tilt was a dealbreaker for me. It wasn't easy to unclasp at all, and like prior poster mentioned, it required two hands just to pop it out of the corners to tilt. Sent my CEO Hybrid back to Marware. For me, the Switcheasy Canvas is the winner.

Yeah, I think will probably end up returning mine. I love the look of the CEO Hybrid but the clasp issue is just a pain. I have a Switcheasy Canvas on order but it is out of stock.

Like I posted earlier, I don't touch the bottom clip (if that's even supposed to be a clip). The top one will snap on with a little lift and push after closing the cover. Then I open it from the flap next to the power switch.

As for the 2 clips for landscape, I don't go into landscape much, so not a deal breaker. But, I didt experience it being a very difficult process when I tested it out. It's not glass, your not going to break it by using a little extra to get it out.

All together, I think it's a great case. It's exceeded my expectations. I love that the back opens and lays flat as most of the time, Im using my iPad in portrait mode and holding it like a magazine. The elastic isnt easy to use, so I just ignore it. It's just not placed ideally. Placed well, just not exact to where I'd want it.

For me, being able to tilt the ipad in landscape mode shouldn't have to be any work at all. Popping the two corners out to tilt, while it required some effort, of course is doable. But something as simple as tilting your ipad shouldn't have to be a chore. It should be effortless. But I'm lazy in that way. :D

I picked one up on fleabay on Tuesday for £23 all in from this guy : http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=270744136145

Case was posted the following day, so could maybe have it by next week.

However after seeing some more reviews and photos of the case last night, I’m no longer keen. This is mainly because I didn’t realise the speaker grille was covered or at least, partially covered.

I have since placed an order for the Maroo Moko II instead. At the moment I’m not sure whether I’ll return the Marware CEO, keep it as a spare or sell it.

Got mine today and I think it's great.

Adds weight but not very much bulk. The construction of it is first class. Not having any problems unclipping the bottom joins and is easy too open and close the cover. I think a few posters above must of got defective ones.

Poster above mention the speaker grills. Just played some music and no sound loss to report.

If you don't mind the bit of extra weight then. I would highly recommend this case.

Some people wanted to know the weight with the iPad 2 in the case...

Comes out at 900 grams... Just under 2lbs

I just got the CEO case today and I must say that I really like it. Before this I was using the belkin snap shield and a black leather smart cover, and I like the CEO over that combo. I never thought I would be a folio guy, but when it's in stand mode it is way more stable that the smart cover could ever be. I use the iPad mostly while in bed or sitting on the couch and the smart cover never worked in those situations. The CEO also seems to be a lot better protection that the above combo. It seems it would hold up better with a minor fall. I also ordered and received Toblino 2 today. It's nice (real leather) but seems more flimsy when in stand mode. I think the CEO will hold up better in the long wrong. I should also note that CEO fits inside my speck pixelsleeve (iPad 1) perfectly for those time I'm out traveling.

I just wanted to share my experience, and maybe this will help someone on the fence about the CEO. I should note I bought this from eBay new. There is a seller seems to have quite a few on hand, and including shipping it was under $30. Bought it Tuesday, shipped wednesday and it arrived from California to Missouri in 2 days. Ok I done rambling now.
