I was tempted to take a copy from the warehouse a few days ago.. (I work at BestBuy). :D

I wouldn't actually steal anything, but it's fun seeing games before they're released.

With BioShock 2 I'll have a real temptation.

Hopefully you don't succumb to that temptation. Don't let a spit second decision drag your work resume down the tube. Actually expand that: Don't let a split second decision change your life for the worse.

BTW, If we could pass a law that would hang thieves, I would vote yes to that.:)

Are you just joking around?

If not, that assumes that all thieves are equal and that they all steal for the same reasons. Besides, what possession -- especially one as superficial as a game -- is worth more than someone's life? Now if someone stole something that they knew was keeping someone else alive, because they knew it would kill them, that's a different story. :)

Somewhat joking;) At least cut their balls off because they are a coward. Wish we could do the same to corrupt politicians :D

BTW am quite looking forward to this game. As usual I will rent first to see if I like it enough to purchase, but my guess is I will be trying to find some sort of limited edition if its out there.

I'm with you on the politician castration! :D If anything, it might prevent some nepotism, if they were punished early enough.

Anyways, I got busted for shoplifting when I was a kid -- so a billion years ago. Since I was so young and what I stole wasn't anything expensive, they required I attend some classes. I also got a beating from my parents. Needless to say, that did the job and set me straight.

Same here, this is on my most play list. If not for ME, I would have probably waited before buying Dragon's Age.

I already have the soundtrack and lame comic-book they offered online, but I'm still buying the NERD edition on day one. Can't rent games on the PC. :)

My preorder just came in, will be popping in the game in a few hours time (after work) :) Pretty psyched about all the new stuff in the game.

Enjoy - early reviews are very positive (even stripping away the typical frothing over-hype). I have the soundtrack playing on my iPod now, ordered Deluxe on Steam, will get started tonight ...

Gone back to mass effect to finish the story.

I'm struggling with a choice.

Do I finish the original game (I'm not far from it) and then buy sequel on the 360 so that my game save moves over... or shall I buy the game on PC ? I have the original on PC (picked up for €5 when Steam Sale was on) but I'm not a fan of pc controls.

After a few hours of playing it, I find it to be pretty good. The way they break in your character was quite seamless, doesn't feel like something they made up just for the sake of a sequel. Technical wise, I must say they improved it quite abit on the PC version. ME1 on PC feels like an afterthought, ME2 feels a lot more polished and fast on the same computer I used on ME1. Graphics wise is somewhat similar but the first 2 teammates I met looks pretty well modeled and textured.

Still trying to get used to the combat but they threw away the inventory system which I think it's a good idea. Still haven't progress far enough to know if the new upgrade and research system is better.

Game saves move over? That data is applied to the new game? I thought you'd have a new character, no? Or can you save your original character to continue the adventure?

You can continue your old save game. You will still be able to switch class and change your character model (due to some nicely placed storyline development :D). But most importantly is your story, mainly who is still alive, how you end your game etc. You can get some bonus for importing your character and more if you played your old character to the extreme.

I'm amazed. So far all my problems with the first one are fixed, and everything is just better.

Played 3.5 hours so far, going to go and play some more later tonight. It takes my mind off of... TOMORROW JANUARY 27TH OMG.

After playing Dragon Age and seeing how it managed its download content, I'm wondering why ME2 didn't use the same method? I'm only at the title screen -- since I'm, waiting for my BIG-BROTHER(3 Headed demon dog) network to give me my booty. Anyways, the title screen to me looks like a cross between Dead Space and Metroid Prime 3's GUI.

I'm going to play my first game from scratch, then my second with my saves from my previous 3 playthroughs with ME.

MRU, you just like the simpler and slower pace a gamepad offers over those complicated and fast paced PC controls for us right-handers. :p

Anyways. HURRY UP YOU STUPID 498 MEG FILE!!! Oh, it's done! :D OK, back to MetroidMassEffectPrimeSpace GUI.

I hope that I can choose the hardest difficulty from the get go and not have to unlock it.

Arrgh ... Steam seems to be getting pounded ... was at ~40% and it just stopped, when I tried to pause and restart, it just dumped back to 0% and has been going at <1MB/sec now ... 64% ...

Debating starting fresh or with old character. I can't even remember who was alive, who's dead, and who I shagged in playthrough of the first :D

It's fun to use your old character, makes it feel like the same game, since the story seamlessly continues.

I've played 5.5 hours already...

I started a new character, because I thought it would let me play as a different person in the same universe. But that wasn't the case and now it's odd, because the STORY is different. I didn't choose to have Ashley killed in any of my playthroughs and I saved the council each time, so this universe is a bit odd. Next I'll find out Wrex is probably dead, when I never had to kill him in my games.

They really changed the game a lot... more like Gears now though not as good. Overall I'm a bit disappointed with the direction they have taken it :(

I had a somewhat similar feeling when I first got a gun in the game. I thought crap, they've gone RE5.

Anyways, now that I'm on my own and back in the new Normady and I've figured out the controls(The tactical screen is now left-shift instead of space), the game feels like a polished Mass Effect again.

rezenclowd3,
The game doesn't lock out any of the difficulty settings. :)
