I have had an iPhone since the very first one. But, since the first one available in white (3G ?? ), I have not had a black one since. So, I ordered MB think that JB would show fingerprints and everything else very badly. Add to that, I always use a case of some type.
So, when nekkid, this MB is really great looking and I know I did the right thing.

I do see most people say they went JB b.c the grip, but I actually prefer the feel of the MB. I like the smooth back. I rest the phone on my pinky, so being more "grippy" doesn't really effect me.
I actually think they said that after the fact. Many JB owners who pre-ordered weren't really aware of the JB's gripability until we received our units (myself included), and some were initially suspicious of the reviews commenting on this because it's counterintuitive. It's actually a bonus for many of us (especially when carrying it naked), as most went for JB primarily for the looks.

Yes very happy with Matt Black and have put it in a very nice case. I'm not brave enough to case less as the phone will be worth less when I trade up to the next plus.
Had my 7+ MB for 10 days now. It looks great but coming from a 6S, the Plus upgrade made me realize I wasn't comfortable with this size, one handed, when walking in the street.
Then I went to an AS, holded the JB and réaliser it was very grippy ! Since then I am looking for one available (none so far, I am in France and no JB available in the entire Europe so far...)
Since I am nearly at the end of my 14 days, I will have to give it back for a refund. In the meanwhile, I may get a 7 in Silver and hope I will get my JB+ Before the next 14 days so I can return it...!
Apart from the size with the slippery issue, it looks great and classy in matte black. Used to have the silver since the 5 and wanted to change back to black (never been interested by rose and gold)
Made my choice before seeing both black in real though... otherwise, I would have gotten the JB from start I guess.

do you ever need it? that would be the question. I've never taken it out as never felt the need
I love my matte black 7 plus! If the jet black was scratch resistance & I was brace enough to go case less. I might have considered it, but it's not scratch resistance & I'm not brave.
beyond happy! This is the first actually black iPhone and it is nice how everything is black. What i mean by that is even the rocker of the silent switch matches the same black so when it is on silent it actually jumps out at you with this seemingly small red line actually appearing to be a mark on your iPhone! Haha I kid but that really is how I feel this iPhone looks. It is completely black except that one spot on the rocker of the mute switch and I love it! So glad the apple is even black, silver would have ruined it imo. But anyway, slap a apple white silicon case on it and you got a rad storm trooper look!
I like mine very much but me being me I slapped a case on it as soon as it arrived yesterday. It is the Apple case so very minimal but it is there.

Wouldn't that mean they'd have to hold it in their hands all the time?
This whole phone case industry was non existent before the iPhone came out. I wonder if it's now necessary to have a case or if the phones are still built to be used without a case in mind.

Matte black looks nice! I'm happy when I got it. I wasn't interested of Jet Black at all, because I like matte colors more and I'm not into shiny things.
