How did you do this? On my Mac I see only "Install App" in App Store.

From the App Store, I clicked on download. Since I already had Mavericks installed, it asked me if I wanted to proceed with the upgrade anyway, or download the installer. I chose to download the installer. My USB install stick is being created as I type, thanks to tywebb.

if you DL it from the appstore on os 10.6.8 where do you see the time remaining?

Should a folder have appeared on my desktop, I dont see anything but the appstore just says downloading but no status bar

I remembering downloading M. Lion. Just fail and had for some reason begin downloading from the beginning.

It's the same today. How I always had and will hate app store. It just never works. Guess I have to get a torrent instead....:mad:

Mavs is #39 Rank as Free in the App Store...by tonight it will be #1

Also Apple has taken down Mountain Lion..no surprise there

Wow it took my I7 3.5 iMac only 20mins to install the update from Lion. My Macbook pro 2.3 I5 is taking 1hr and 10mins to install from Snow Leopard. Either my iMac is super fast compared to the macbook pro or the update from Snow Leopard takes longer.

good night everyone!

i have GM V1 already installed on my iMac. Now if I go to download the new Installer in the App Store i have to login to the Store. But the Problem is, there is already an (to me unknown) Apple ID filled in, and it's grey out, so i'm unable to change it to mine.

No idea how this apple ID came in there. Anybody knows how i'm able to re-install a new copy with my ID?
