Maxfield - Los Angeles

I can actually give you some real info on Maxfields (phily guy, look away).
My childhood friend works there as a sales person. I walked it today, she took me back, had a 10 min conversation with main manager. They have tons of sport (space gray and otherwise), some 38 mm SS, and no 42 mm SS at the moment. I was told 42 mm ML ~1 week wait, 42 mm classic band about 1 month 42 mm WSB a few days. And absolutely no movement on link bands of either color. So, walked out with 42 mm ML order. Hope she calls me by Friday

What about 42mm SS BSB? What's the movement like on that one?

I avoided having to drive from San Diego to LA. My neighbor is in LA all week for work so I asked if she could swing by Maxfield and see what the deal was and if possible pick up me 42 MM Sport Blue. She went around 5.30pm. She was in out and with the watch in 15 mins. No line or hardly anyone even in the store.

I am here today. They already passed out the pink tickets for appointment times. Not sure if there are any left. Today they said all are available are 42mm Sport Blue and 38mm SS Milanese. I'm going to order a 42mm SS bsb and take my chances on waiting.
So if I wanted to a watch, what now? Go after all the appointments are done? Or get there now to make an appointment? Thanks for the help.
I was about 15th in line and I showed up at 9:15 or so. There were probably around 20 people behind me. I made my appointment which would be at 12 and then left. They look up appt. times with their iPad. Not sure if there are any appt. times left today.
Maybe they will get a shipment of SS 42mm by the time my appt. comes around

Can you try to pry more info on their inventory?
I think it was just yesterday that someone reported them claiming to have a good amount of inventory. But today they only have 42 sport blue and 38 Milanese?
Yeah the Apple rep came out and announced it first thing that this was everything they had in stock. When I go to my appointment I'll ask if there would be any appointments left for the day for a "friend" to come in.

The same thing is happening in Paris at colette -- this is the best thing Angela and Apple could have done for us -- I've made over $1500 selling just two Watches on eBay (which took me all of thirty minutes to buy), all with Apple's blessing, as it's obvious what's going on at Maxfield where they have an Apple rep overseeing the process. "Mobsters" are blatantly violating the one per customer rule, and getting special favors from the elite store employees. So Apple is tacitly endorsing this behavior. They wanted to be part of this world, and now they are. Time permitting, I'll probably go back again and take advantage of this sweet deal Apple has set up for us in LA.

They could have been lurking here and reading posts for years but just never posted. And finally posted to help you out. Who knows! Maybe they are someone that usually posts on another forum and just registered here to HELP YOU OUT!!

This is true. They might tell you on the phone by that time that no more appointments are available.
Yet people could be just showing up, walking in with no line, and buying what they have in stock. This happened yesterday between 3:30-5:30 ish or 6.
Ok so here's the skinny: they "highly encourage" those who want SS models to order them except the Link and Black Link models. They said for me a 42mm BSB that I ordered would not be too long of a wait. They confirmed they have priority and a relationship w/Apple to get them faster. They said the trend on SS is about a week wait but not to hold them to it. They were super nice and professional
I was there yesterday mid afternoon and all they had in the 42MM was white and blue sports. My friend was there in the morning and he got a 42 black sports. I went back this morning and they came out and said all they have today is the 42 blue sports and the 38 milanese. I pre-ordered a black sports. Hopefully I get it soon.
They also cut off all the known resellers. They would not allow them to buy anything today and said they will not be allowed any future purchases. So that really cut down the amount of people in line.
