My wife just left, there was no one in line or ordering.
Was she able to order one?
Should've showed up just to see if they would turn me away
I can actually give you some real info on Maxfields (phily guy, look away).
My childhood friend works there as a sales person. I walked it today, she took me back, had a 10 min conversation with main manager. They have tons of sport (space gray and otherwise), some 38 mm SS, and no 42 mm SS at the moment. I was told 42 mm ML ~1 week wait, 42 mm classic band about 1 month 42 mm WSB a few days. And absolutely no movement on link bands of either color. So, walked out with 42 mm ML order. Hope she calls me by Friday![]()
thanks for the info!
And yes, they charge your card full amount and no refunds. But you can always CL it if you don't like it.
My thought is that they intentionally shut off watch sales early so as to not get a big rush after work that could interfere with their normal product sales and customer base. Also may help control the backlog of orders they place and process.Hah! This just gets more and more comedic.
This was literally my call:
Me: I was planning on coming in around 6:30 to preorder/buy a watch.
MF: We're not taking anymore appointments today.
Me: Is there a line/queue?
MF: No
Me: But you have watches in stock.
MF: Yes, we have plenty in stock.
Me: So, you're saying you have watches in stock and no one in line, but I can't walk in and buy one?
MF: Yes, but you can try lining up tomorrow.
I think I just lost some brain cells.
by the way, why didn't you go with BSB if it seemed as a faster option?
I preordered 42 SG and received it last week. After 2 days, SB started staining, peeling, etc. Also, I realized sport was not for me. SG looks more like Fitbit than a real watch (not trying to start a war here, just IMHO). So, I sold SG on CL last week. Now waiting for SS.

Ha I called it WSB. WSB=BSB
So my cousin basically gave up going for me after going twice and being turned away. He's a stand in on set so he basically works all day. Found someone on ebay who wants $670 to order and ship a watch for me from Maxfields.
I hate Apple right now.

Well, why was he being turned away?
If you hate Apple, don't buy a watch.
Just rolled up at 3:00PM in my Benz and they let me skip the line to pick up a 42mm SS with milanese.
