I ordered on Monday. I really wanted SS but it looked like SG had a shorter wait from earlier posts in this thread, so I went with SG. Now I'm kicking myself for not ordering SS. Wondering how easy is it to change my order...
sorry if this has been answered already but can you pre-order over the phone or do you have to walk in to pre-order? My order thru Apple is currently at June for delivery but Maxfields seems to be a couple of days. I live in Orange Country and would prefer to not have to drive up to Maxfields twice. thanks in advance,
You have to go in person. Does anyone know how early you have to get there to get an appointment? And does anyone know what today's stock was/is?
You have to preorder in person. You could get a watch in one day, you just have to get lucky with if they have what you want in stock.
Earliest appointment time is 11, which is when they open. As mentioned above. Todays stock was... 42mm blue sports watch, 42mm SS black sports band, and 42mm Milanese. It changes everyday. So it really does not matter what they had today. Most likely it will be different tomorrow. They have been coming out right before they open at 11 and announcing what they have available to purchase right then or you can pre-order and pay for anything (NON-REFUNDABLE) and wait for them to call you to come back and pick it up. To pick up a pre-order you do not need an appointment.
Ask them about 42mm SS WSB for me please? Ask if they have any and/or when was the last shipment that they got some.
Depends who helps you. Seems some people are told appointment only, while they let some people just walk in if there's no line.
When I left there today at 12:30 pm, they only had the 42mm SS BSB and MB. They won't tell you what they had yesterday or what they will have.
I spend 3-4 hours commuting everyday from east of L.A. to Santa Monica and back for work. It's a royal pain in the ass. Hell, Maxfield is FIVE miles from where I work and it takes almost an hour during rush hour. I'm pretty sure I could get there faster just running.
just got home from Maxfield. woooh! what a drive from Orange County. i was there around 11:40AM and got a 3PM appointment. i spent my time around the area while waiting for the 3PM appointment and it's all worth it! they got the 42 SS watches. i heard the bands they have were white and the black sports ran out. i got a 42 SS Milanese. pretty awesome!!!
If they have a 42 SS Milanese when I get there, I'll pick it up. Other than that, I'm kinda done going back and forth to that store.
Maxfield also probably knows that some Apple Watch buyers (particularly those in LA) might be on the up and coming rich list. So this opens up their stores to people that wouldn't normally shop there and possibly create future customers.
So this, while inconvenient for current customers, helps put their name in futures customers minds.
Has anyone gotten a call tonight for something that they pre-ordered? The reason I am asking is it seems like the people that pre-ordered the Milanese and SS black sports bands all got calls last night that their orders were in and that was all that was available today.
Just picked up two 42 SS BSB. They were going to allow me to get a 38mm Milanese, but I passed.
I can confirm. Sitting in their parking lot now. They're turning away all walk ins. Said come back at 7am get in line for an appointment slip
