Wow, 7 AM?? That's 5 hours before the store even opens. Sheesh, not sure I need the watch THAT badly.
Not sure if you saw me just get into a fight with one ******* security guard. He called me a liar saying they would never allow anyone to purchase without an appointment, when in fact they just did with me. I even have the phone log and the reps in there would vouch. And this guy wanted to throw down. What an asshat. I told the store manager to address this because this guy has no business talking to their clientele that way.
Wish I had seen this before I left the parking lot might've got me in the front door so I couldn't got my order in
So messed up. I had the option to buy a 42 BSB or 38 Milanese.
With that said the security guys were mega cool when I waited in line last week.
Yeah a couple of them are cool. Don't know what was up with this dude. Started running his mouth for no reason. Totally uncalled for. Even when I tried to rationalize with him, he was trying to act like he's all hard. Lol please.
Went after work today arrive around 4pm. Was told no walk ins, period. They did share that their last appointment was 6:30pm. I asked if walk ins allowed after that and was told no. Same story, come back at 7am for a ticket. This is for both purchases and orders.
Be cool to them, they're cool to you!
Not so sure about the security guards today. One of them appeared to be fed up with answering any questions.He was very short with his answers and annoyed that I was asking.
Even the manager I spoke to was upset that this happened. He said these guards do not in any way represent Maxfield or Apple and have zero business giving anyone any information.
So then why are they there if they're not representing Apple or Maxfield?
And just to get this straight...:
1. Grab a ticket by 7AM to get an appointment.
2. Get an appointment before 11AM to place an order.
3. Place an order for a watch.
4. Pick up watch.
I count FOUR times in a day to get the watch. Insane.
Tremendous failure on Apple's part to release the watch in this fashion.
Yep. Not sure. What I was told was that Apple hired a contractor for them, but they are not representing the store or the product and are merely there to prevent issues.
Funny how that one guy was the one causing issues.
Anyway, over it, got what I needed. Hopefully everyone gets theirs too.

They had no idea what the ETA would be. All they said was "soon" What did they tell you?
They messed up while making millions of some of the best rubber watch bands ever. That doesn't make it a bad product.
They don't care about Apple customers. They know you've never shopped there before, and you never will again. They know as soon as Apple Stores get merchandise, people like you will go there instead. They are not interested in your business, nor retaining you as a customer. They cannot mark up the retail price of their watches despite demand like they do their other overpriced merchandise, due to Apple's policies, therefore, they treat you like the trash they think you are. That is not going to change. And Apple is complicit with this behavior because their onsite Apple rep permits it. And all probably because Angelea bent herself into a pretzel to pull the strings to get the watch into these exclusive boutiques to begin with.
That's a great explanation, but it's a bit presumptuous to say you're an expert on my lifestyle. I bought watches there because it was easier than getting them from Apple, even when I got my orders in around midnight. It's also not my first time shopping at Maxfield or comparable high couture boutiques. I could care less whether I'm shopping at Ross or Louis Vuitton. Respect is respect.

Please don't take any of mine or other's comments as insults or insuations about your life. Nobody cares. Just like nobody at Maxwells or fields or whatever cares about whether you get the watch or not.
I'm sure the allure of selling these types of overpriced commodities (vs other crap I'm sure they hawk) has long since passed and they can not WAIT for apple stores to start pulling their weight so they can be rid of people like you and this waste of overhead.
All 'cuz one of Angela's friends @ TJ Max or maxwells or whatever just couldn't stand NOT having stock on launch day. I hope this is what they wanted: basically new Apple products are traded just like illegal drugs with the associated human costs.
Roommate went at noon the other day, picked up a ticket, was told to come back at 1:45 and scooped a 42mm SG Sport. I think the trouble is when you try and order SS models.
Also, the store very much so does pander to any hint of celebrity or anything. I had a guy in my office (We work a block from Maxfield) representing a company we're making a commercial for, and we were talking about the Watch as a few of us have them. He asks where we got them, Maxfield came up, and he immediately calls them. As it rings I'm like there's no way you'll get one at the end of the day, they tell him no way at all today and to line up tomorrow.
He walks over anyways, and 10 minutes later he rolls back in our door with a 42mm Space Gray sport. He claimed he showed them his Instagram(where he has like, 42000 followers), walked right past the line and was able to buy a watch out from under a line-waiter. That's Maxfield at its finest, underhanded and will say yes if you sweet talk.
