I didn't read the whole thread but where are we at with Maxfield today? If I wanted to get a 42mm SS with white or black sport band when would be best to go in? How does it all work? Do I line up or something or just show up randomly?

You would go there and get a ticket for an appointment. Come back at your appt time and if they have what you want in stock you can buy. Otherwise you'd place a pre order

Can I go anytime for an appt ticket? Say on my lunch? For an appointment later?

I want to say yes, especially on a weekday. But depending on how many lined up today -and from other people's experience, sometimes they have handed out all available appointments for the day.

I would call to make sure that you can at least still come to get an appt

You can if you're lucky, I went at 1pm on Monday and got an appointment. It really just depends on the day though. If someone's there they can give you a better estimate for today.

The earlier you go to get the appt ticket the earlier your appt. Or you can request a later appt if available.

Yesterday someone came in at noon and got an appt around 3:30 pm

It's funny though because even though you all say it's not meant to be insulting or nobody cares, you obviously do care enough to continue adding remarks.

*slow clap for the people who hide behind their keyboards*

Ya man, last I checked that's how sarcasm works.

It's nice to rub salt in the wounds, you should know this being in Pasadena and all. Frankly it was enough entertainment hearing how you got punked by someone with (probably) less education than you over a stupid watch! :apple:

You sound like such a lovely person.

Anyone want to make some money? I need someone to go get me a watch from Maxfields and I'll pay for your time and effort lol :D

Trying to find time to do it today or tomorrow but stupid work is getting in the way.

Maybe I'll try next week.

I went on Tuesday at 2pm and they were all done for the day. I went on Wednesday at 11:00am, waited in line until about 11:30 for my ticket and had a 2pm appointment. BTW, it appeared that most people in line were "veterans", meaning clearly for profit resellers. They all knew the drill and knew the limit of watches you could buy in a LIFETIME. It's 20, for your information.

At 2pm, I waited approx 5 min and was called in to purchase. Had to wait inside for another 5-10 minutes and purchased then. I was buying a SG sport 38 for my wife for mothers day but they did have a couple of SS Milanese available and I believe a SS with sports band. You can only purchase 1 a day so I made the choice to buy my wifes. I'm a good husband. I did have to preorder.

Sidenote: As I waited, I had the opportunity to look around at the place. Very high end, very niche. The had a display of Rolex in a glass case. I saw a stainless steel black one that interested me so I asked the price. $25k. They did say they'd cut me a deal for 24k. It wasn't gold, it's wasn't platinum, just "custom". My Stainless Steel Rolex cost around 10k. Absolutely insane.

Tremendous failure on Apple's part to release the watch in this fashion.

The issues at Maxfields are Maxfields alone, not Apple. Apple may have chooses (due to supply constraints) to do only online orders and a few high-end stores, but Maxfied has control of what happens to all their customers. Including the lowly Apple Watch purchasers.
This is Maxfields fault and makes me wish I lived in LA so I could go in in crummy clothes and just look around wasting people times.

Even the manager I spoke to was upset that this happened. He said these guards do not in any way represent Maxfield or Apple and have zero business giving anyone any information.

Strange, I was there yesterday and they were great. Maybe it's the way people were speaking to them? There were some people that were buttheads in line with me but they handled the situation perfectly.

Everyone, please stay on the subject. If you are not happy, please start your own forum and post you thoughts there. Thank you.

That's possible. The thing is, I had zero interaction with him. When he asked if I had an appointment and I explained the situation, he started running his mouth. Even his partner said that wasn't necessary.
