Awesome, passionate unboxing. Thanks for sharing!

If they offered the gold back with the black front I would order it, but it's the white front that I don't like... But even my wife is switching back from white to black...

There's just something classier about the way the glass looks with black accents...

Your not the first person to see a YouTube video of mine and say 12....

I am 15 and I'm a sophomore

Ha I didn't even get my first cellphone until I was 16 and it was a ghetto Sanyo brick phone.
I can't see how teachers can get students to pay attention in class now days with iPhones in their pockets.

I've always traditionally like the white iPhones better. There's just something about them that looks cleaner and more premium. Though my first iPhone (iPhone 3G) was black since they didn't offer 8GB in white. The iPhone 5 is the first iPhone where I felt the black color was superior. Went back to the white face with the 5S since Apple went "Space Gray" instead of black.

iPhone 3G - Black
iPhone 4 - Black (sold and got white once it became available)
iPhone 4S - White
iPhone 5 - Black/Slate
iPhone 5S - White/Gold

Well we can use are phones every where but in class. So people are pretty happy and don't tend to try and use their phones in class to much. At the middle school you can't use your phone at all so it's a mess in class.

All I've owned was black phones as well. But I wanted to change up a bit and got the gold. Wasn't sure about silver or gold so I ran after the gold. I'm perfectly fine, content and comfortable with it.

Get the gold. At the end of the day their opinion means nothing. Just realize that opinions rarely matter.

Who cares? When the white iPhone was available people were saying it was for girls and only "real" men get the black version. Well, the black 5 was a fiasco: the paint chipped after a few months (and some even out of the box)! I got the white and it's still flawless to this date. Plus, I think it's way nicer than the black one. Now Apple only make space grey phones (probably due to the paint chipping issues), but I'll always stick to silver as it's very nice.

If you like gold, more power to you.

LOL. The title of this thread makes me want to see some bathroom mirror selfies.... Men who OWN owning the gold iPhone. Gold chains and shirtless please. Aww yeah! I could make a calendar.

I am thinking very seriously about getting a gold iPhone 6 Plus.

I've only ever had black iPhones before. I think it looks especially handsome in the brown leather case from Apple, as seen in this review: http://techcrunch.com/2014/09/16/iphone-6-cases-review/

Some of my friends have said that a man "can't own" the gold iPhone, or that it's for ladies, which I think is ridiculous.

Just looking for any other men who are proud gold iPhone owners and if you've gotten similar guff from your friends.

Not looking for this to devolve into a screaming match about masculinity and gender norms...it's just iPhones, people.

Also interested to hear whether you use it in a case, without a case, and if so, what cases can compliment the gold color. Pictures encouraged. Thanks! :apple:

I like the gold 6 and 6+ but didn't like the 5s gold as the chamfered edges made it too blingy. Tell your mates only a king would own gold ;) then smack them over the head with a beer bottle :D

The only guff, I got about it was that it was the 'Persian color', which I dont see at all how that would be an insult. Actually I get more guff for having an iPhone in general. But honestly, I dont think people really care to judge you on the color of your phone. If you like it, get it. They cant say anything to make you change your perception of the color unless you yourself have doubts about it.
