I'm not on their side. Steve went up there and spread a bunch of bs to appease the stupiest of Apple customers. Taking the money will make Apple less likely to male the decision "We knew that there was an issue, but we decided to ship it anyway."
I'm not here to complain about the issue, but the fact is.. it is an issue. And yes, Apple should compensate for the problem. It doesn't matter what product it is or the cost... but let's take a car for instance. You buy one, yet if you press the accelerator to a certain point, it just cuts out on you. You cannot tell me that you wouldn't want the company/person you bought it from to compensate you on that UNLESS that was something the company/person mentioned right up front when you bought it.
It's one thing to support Apple, but you can't really expect people to not think they deserve some "fix" for their phone possibly losing connectivity.
Lastly, there is no need to call people names simply because they don't support your cause here. If you wish to not receive the refund, great! Awesome. But don't expect people are going to feel the same way when dishing out up to $300 for a phone and find out they can lose calls if they hold the phone wrong.
