[Merged] HTC Evo 4G / Supersonic / Sprint Evo

I understand what you are saying and I agree to some of what you've said. I was just trying to provide you the fact that Sprint does not charge $10 for not just 4G.

I am not impressed right now and add on top of that, they want to charge $10 MORE for the "4G" whether or not YOU HAVE IT is pretty stupid.

I myself will be getting the EVO and I'm very unsatisfied with the $10 fee. Since I want this phone so bad I'm willing to pay the unjustified $10 just like a lot of people paying ATT and Verizon but more.

Edit: Fortunately, I live in Dallas, TX so hopefully I will get to use 4G :)

Lol. So you live in Texas were the MAJORITY of 4G is and you are saying the justified $10 for 4G for select markets is now unjustified?

I give up :)

If you LIVE in a 4G market, $10 makes sense. If you don't, it makes NO sense. There.
 
if the 10 dollars is mandatory even if you wont be in a 4g are i admit its retarded. but even so, its still cheaper that att and id be willing to pay that for this phone. also if you ever travel you will have 4g in those areas. soo its not terrible. honestly most people pay 110+ for a data plan on att w unl text and 900 mins. even with 450 mins its still 90 a month...

I forgot to mention that I rather save $10 and use 3G. I'm more for the phone than for 4G. My friend had a Sprint Air Card 4G, and he lives in Dallas, but he said he couldn't pick up 4G so I don't know.

If it is just you, it may be worth it.... On a family plan with two lines ( both EVO ), you are looking at 129.99 for everything data and then 20 for "premium data". That makes Sprint's detarded plan a great deal at only 149.99...:rolleyes: But I do get unlimited mobile to mobile to any cell phone user...Too bad my friends don't have Sprint and will tell me to **** and quit calling them till 9pm when their minutes are low. :)

900 minutes is a lot. Try comparing the cheaper plans to Sprint's cheaper plans... It's so compatible now, it's detarded looking. Look at the now detarded family plan plus 20 bucks for the EVO....149.99. BAM! Sprint's value service marketing just got slam chopped!

Well, they are doing a piss poor job so far.

Those of you wanting an EVO, please go for it. No need to justify any of the plans, pricing, fees or anything else to anyone here. :) If the EVO makes you happy, go buy it. If you need justification on the purchase, prepare for honest comments. If you want it sugar coated, go talk to a Sprint sales associate! :D

true story. but im not looking for justification. i was just stating that the plans are cheaper and you get more on sprint than att. its a fact not an opinion.

Agreed, but my point is that they won't be going under anytime soon.

I get that. T-Mobile has the cheapest plans out of all the carriers. Why not go with them if its about the money? Oh, I understand now. :rolleyes: Get my point? Just because someone is the cheapest, doesn't make them the BEST. Sprint is cheap, yup but do you honestly expect them to pay a premium for their rather lacking service? I mean really?

I get it. :) They are still afloat but for how long is the question. We saw how fast Palm sank. Only took a year and a few months for that to happen.
 
sprint is way better than t mobile. sprint actually has very good reception. and i did compare the lowest plans to the lowest plans. sprint beats att in every way possible. att sucks bad. sprint is nice. iphone is nice. evo is nice.

nice plan (sprint) + nice phone (evo) = win
sucky plan (att) + nice phone (iphone) = ok

now iphones are a must for some people so they are willing to go with ****** att.

me on the other hand am very happy with droid and htc phones, esp looking at the evo, so obviously its the right choice for me. i do like the iphone though and would consider getting that if sprint received it.

More minutes with Sprint....Rollover minutes with ATT.. It can compare. However the problem with Sprint is a very bad rep. I was willing to give them a chance, but im not sure anymore after their CEO lied. If the CEO can boldface lie about their fees, I take it so can their customer service reps. Actually I am currently reading about a lot of confused responses from Sprint customer service reps. They don't seem to know what is going on right now.

Don't get me wrong, I don't trust any companies customer service reps, but Sprint seems to remind me of a crooked company running out of a 3rd world country or something.

Uh, you can already do this with an iPhone.

That is if you mean take video and then upload right after. If it means bandwidth, then it will still take time regardless of the network used to upload to YouTube.

And as others have said, where is the discussion of Apple getting nervous other than the article title?
 
Android captured by my 3GS. Lol. Go figure :) It's the Motorola Droid. It didn't last long, that's for sure.

How good is Sprint's 3G network vs ATT's network. I don't have 4G in my area but my neighboring towns have it. They say Sprint can get tike 800Kbps, does that translate to real time equivalent speeds as ATT is giving. Because the speed tests I have done under ATT only show me peak bandwidth values, not average.

Also, if people jump ship and move to sprint...is there a 5GB cap like ATT?
