Plugged my phone at 8am:

got 3 pieces of google gmail. but other than that...it hasn't been touched..i was sleeping.

it's 11:00am...my percentage is 85%

But iPhone still stuck on ATT so EVO still wins. ATT limitation is the big killer of it.

I like AT&T but unlike a lot of people. I know when choosing a phone it is choose a network then look at phones on said network.

Way WAY to many people go phone first then network. If you go that way then you have Zero right to complain about the network.

What makes it blow the EVO away?

I am super happy with my EVO. Love every minute of it. Not seen anything that blows it away. iMovie...whoa!

Sorry what? No.

Not at all impressed. Seems to me to just be catching up to the features of the EVO and Nexus.

What is so different and revolutionary that hasn't been out for 6 months already?

I don't have an EVO but would love to try it out. The new Iphone doesn't blow it out of the water. I do think the hardware build is better on the Iphone but I never touched either. They are pretty much equal what really matter is the OS though IMO.

EVO is on Sprint.

Sprint is not even a real cell phone carrier.

I don't know how you could even begin to make such a comparison...

AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, they all have their good and bad places, Sprint sucks every where. The only reason they had any customers is because they gave their service away for almost free. As soon as they stopped doing that, their customers started running away.

Pretty much equal is a far better way of putting it. Coming from a 3GS to an EVO, there are things I think the iPhone does better, that I think the iPhone 4 will do even better, but pound for pound, the EVO holds its own.

Man. Not finished yet? I wanted to know the release for the new phone but didnt realize its still going on... (im at work).

//pins and needles

LOL are you ****ing serious? LOL at Sprint now being a real phone carrier. Then you have the nerve to put T-Mobile in your list....WOW.

Good point, he hasnt mentioned it yet, maybe its the last point (point 8) he's going to make?

10:33AM "Here are the volume controls... we have a front facing camera, micro SIM tray, camera and LED flash on the back..."

video conferencing and LED notifications why didn't Steve say anything yet about it? I see something in front of the camera what the hell is it?

The new Iphone doesn't blow it out of the water.

Actually, it does. The EVO's battery is a deal-killer all by itself. The new iPhone has now added capability and power, has what appears to be a superior camera in terms of picture quality, it's thinner and much more svelte, and its software is freaking amazing. Bottom line: it appears to be a much more livable phone. AT&T remains the main drawback for many (though I personally have no complaints, save their tardiness with tethering).

What an amazing phone. All the new features haven't even been finished being announced too.

It's now point 8: iAd, point 7 is iBooks.

In the entire presentation Steve did not mention about faster processor or extra RAM (Remember 3GS is 2x faster than 3G). It seems iPhone 4 will be about as fast as 3GS. The only thing I like about is the iMovie video editing.

Everything else, it's been a disappointment. Or rather, comeplete lack of surprise. Evo is a better device, sorry.
