boring keynote is boring ... Im really hoping :apple: has something big in the next 5 minutes because I'm about 10 mins away from getting an Evo.

Should have done that on Friday with the rest of us...lol

that's your opinion. Some ppl would still take the EVO over the new Iphone.

The Evo is stuck on Sprint for now. If it was on any other network but Sprint, I may have been interested. I had more dropped calls on Sprint than any other network.

I still have a broadband card on Sprint and I can only get 1.5Mbps at night. During the day it drops to about 50Kbps.

Actually, it does. The EVO's battery is a deal-killer all by itself. The new iPhone has now added capability and power, has what appears to be a superior camera in terms of picture quality, it's thinner and much more svelte, and its software is freaking amazing. Bottom line: it appears to be a much more livable phone. AT&T remains the main drawback for many (though I personally have no complaints, save their tardiness with tethering).

First off we don't know real world battery life of the new Iphone, and can't go by a graph Apple did themselves. Second we don't know how good the camera is compared to other competitors cameras.

Just like your experience you have with Sprint many ppl have the same problems with AT&T. Your going at this at a fanboy kind of way.

Graph has been accurate since 1G

NO. Everyone will expericne different battery life. Just like ppl do with the EVO. Why is that you ask? It's because we all do different things on our phones. You also have to consider your reception because if it's bad your battery will die quick.

No, I'm going at it through real world experience. AT&T speeds for me max at at just below 3Mbps. I have never gotten above 1.5Mbps on Sprint. Calls would drop on my Treo just sitting at stop lights. No fanboy remarks about it.

iphone 4 is wifi only! another lame! most likely because ATT is ****!!

also only iphone 2 iphone. no skype compatibility lame!

Evo still wins

LOL...video calling iphone to iphone only....wifi only...hahahahahha!

I just had my EVO on the kickstand videoing to my wife in New Jersey while I sat here in Pizza Hut in Ohio, just 20 mins ago.

If the new chip is significant faster, Jobs would have boasted about the magical performance. Instead he didn't mention anything about performance boost. Sorry to hate your bubble, iPhone4 is another incremental upgrade to 3GS.

And the one more thing video chat?

Wifi only.
iPhone 4 to iPhone 4 only.
It's not even usable under 3g like EVO.

Honestly, there is nothing groundbreaking today.

The battery and A4 on the iPhone is a win, the iPhone screen - I have wait and see it in person.

Overall the Evo has a worse carrier then the iPhone and the battery of the EVO is also substandard. The OS is where things differ and I'll take android over iOS (man what an aweful name).

I love how Jobs showed "11:37AM A daughter graduating and talking to her mother!"......
Yeah...only if the school has wifi...hahahahhahahah!!!

iPhone 4 blows the 3G out of the water, its simply playing catch up to the Evo. There are already rumors of next years Evo running a dual core Snapdragon with a 12MP camera and 1080 video. Apple will never be able to keep up really. More inexcusable Apple limitations on the iPhone I see. When are people going to get sick of not being able to customize and do what they want with their phones?

Weird. Strike that, it shows up as a different symbol...

It's okay, I thought that was the pipeline character too and kept trying to use it but didn't work. This is so retarded, gives us the android keyboard.

Blows EVO out of the water?
Have you even looked at the HTC EVO and Sprints prices?
I see it being the other way...... especially with the 4G network.

But iPhone still stuck on ATT so EVO still wins. ATT limitation is the big killer of it.

I like AT&T but unlike a lot of people. I know when choosing a phone it is choose a network then look at phones on said network.

Way WAY to many people go phone first then network. If you go that way then you have Zero right to complain about the network.

You are right about that and I would be on whatever network allows the most flexibility. For me, I am on ATT because the people I talk to the most are on ATT so no minutes are used. Sure there are other options--for me--but this is the only option that allows them to not use any minutes. Fortunately, ATT is great here and has been great to wherever I have traveled--but your mileage may vary.
