Are you having any battery issues? I have been hearing locally from some users that their battery doesn't last them more than five hours just making phone calls. Wonder if they have a background ap running without knowing it. This issues has also come up on local radio stations with people calling in during tech segments complaining about the battery life of the Incredible.
I LOVE having a phone where I can't see the screen. It's like "MAGICAL".![]()
" You don't need to use your phone in direct sunlight. Most people don't anyway. " Steve Jobs. There now the problem is fixed. If Steve was to say that and the new iPhone came with a AMOLED screen, that is what all the sheeple would say to your comment.
I hate my N1 more and more everyday. I am now counting down the days to WWDC.
Why?
There were things I really like about the phone and some things I didn't. The email app (or the need for multiple email apps) was what finally deciding factor, that and the screen of course. The small width did impact typing accuracy.
Wow... A LOT of apple fanboys in here! IMO, the incredible is definitely the BEST phone in the market right now! I don't know how the heck people even complain about OLED!?!From what has been leaked about the iPhone 4G it has nothing against the Incredible and especially the upcoming EVO.
BTW, I think WebOS is the best OS in the market if it's build in the right hardware.
Congrats to one of the copycats catching up. I don't want an imitator though. The Apple iPhone and OS that other phones are trying to mimic is good enough for me. It keeps getting better.
I do however feel that it was a mistake for Apple to remain with AT&T exclusively beyond 2009. As a result, people who were once anxious for the iPhone to come to their carrier or were switching to AT&T to get an iPhone are now opting for copycat devices. The Droid's #2 spot over the iPhone may serve as a wake-up call for Apple's ego. It's like a champ who lets the hype get to his head, drops his hands and gets K-O'ed.
Now, all the people that have an iPhone, have one because they WANT IT and LIKE IT. Very rarely do I see anyone that complains they DON'T like the iPhone.
I am sure if Apple was spewing out a bunch of crappy phones every month they too would be at the top of their game. Alas, Apple IS the hardware AND software. Android is just software that anyone can get.
I see a lot of people complaining that they DON'T like AT&T though. I think we can agree that if Apple were offering the iPhone on other carriers they would be cleaning up the competition. It's interesting that this super smart company apparently put themselves in a position where they can't do that.
And a lot of people are getting it, for that and other reasons. The new Android phones aren't crap; they may not have all the advantages of the iPhone but they do have good features, some of which lead what's available from the iPhone right now.
Don't give Android too much credit now. When you flood the market with tons of crap phones and that's the only choice for many people, numbers will show just that. People don't switch carriers for Android phones. They switch for the iPhone. They know what it is, what it can do and the ease of use. The only option to others is Android. Just because someone buys the phone, doesn't mean it's better or they like it. It's their only choice.

So no worries. I am sure if Apple was spewing out a bunch of crappy phones every month they too would be at the top of their game. Alas, Apple IS the hardware AND software. Android is just software that anyone can get.
I like what I have. If Android had that, I would be interested but they don't. They give you a phone and that's it. They don't care about your experience or anything else. They dump it on you and you have to figure out the rest. No central syncing location, not decent backup/restore. Nada.
I think the HTC Sense UI and Google experiences are quite nice. They seem to have put some thought into how you actually use a phone, versus providing a simple my-first-smartphone UI.
I powered up an Incredible, entered my Google account info, and almost instantly I had all my contacts, email and calendar entries sync'd with all my other devices from Apple, RIM, Palm and HTC.
Then I downloaded more apps and widgets from the Android Market (and straight from some websites) and set up all my homescreens to my liking with interactive widgets. Fun, quick and easy.
How did you get your address book from your mac to gmail? That's what I'm concerned about
