Exactly, the iPod event. Not another iPhone event. The most the iPhone gets at those events is a "here are the numbers for iPhone xx" from Steve. Everyone awes and they move onto the iPods.

It can happen, but will it? Nah, your reading too much into a rumor that was thought of 3 weeks before WWDC.

Nah it was just an idea. There's no way I will be able restrain myself from not opening the package and playing with the phone. There's a 99.9% chance I will keep it. I mean why wait in line for a phone that is being shipped to my office?

I'm just as disappointed as everyone else who was looking forward to purchasing the white one... That is all.
 
There has been not one stinkin' word said about why the white iPhone went missing!

That in and of itself is SCARY which always leads to paranoia and speculation.
THEY SHOULD JUST COME OUT AND SAY SOMETHING!
 
White iPhone 4 will not be available June 24th

Just got off the phone with my local Apple Store. Here's what went down:

Me: "Will the white iPhone 4 be available on the 24th?"

Apple employee: "No."

They don't know anything, man. Only people like Steve jobs or few executives know what is going with white iphones.
 
i know alot of people have doubts that it will be available on the 24th but all you can do is go by what apple has actually said even though they havent said much if anything they havent come out and said that the release will be delayed the only thing they have addressed are preorders not actual release dates or availabilty on the 24th so until something changes there really is no reason to think it wont come out on the 24th. i hope everything goes the way i hope and it will come out on the 24th and all of those people who just jumped ship and ordered the black one on preorder are stuck with theres and i will be getting what i wanted from day 1 on the 24th. im sticking to my guns and not going to settle for something else especially when nothing has been confirmed as far as the speculation of the worst being later summer or whatever the date is.

I agree, I was a click away from pre-ordering the black iPhone just to be the first to have it. Then my wife made me realize that I would not be happy with it after I see the first person with the white iphone!

So ill be there early next thursday on the 24th hoping for a white iPhone, if they do not release that day, no harm done, just a waste of a few hours.

Ill wait til the white one is released, no matter how long it takes.

Which makes it all the more pathetic that Steve didn't let folks know both colors being shown wouldn't be available at launch.

So no1 know when the white iPhone is coming out?
Any1 know Steve's email so we could email him and ask him

Everyone keeps comparing this to MMS (I've seen it mentioned several times). I think the important thing to remember is that MMS and tethering were empty AT&T promises while this is Apple. Not saying Apple is perfect, but at least they're not AT&T.

Even if you were to get a response, he's known for relatively vague one-liners.

His response would undoubtedly be: "soon"
 
Maybe they piss us off some more by having the iPhone come out later with a 64gb option and one of those rds readers built in that i heard they were adding to iPhones towards xmas time.
 
Will the micro-sims be for free you think or you reckon the O2 may charge for them? Going to send my mum Thursday morning on her way to work!? :apple:

- "Do you have any information regarding white iPhone availability on a first come first served basis on June 24?"
- There's no information at this time.
- "Have there been any emails or communications to the store manager regarding white iPhone availability?"
- Nope, we're as in the dark as you. But try calling back the day before—we might have information then.
