How that cunning plan of yours going to work when the white model comes out more than 30 days after 6/24?
so your saying get a black delivered or picked up and you have 30 days to take it back?
im ordering black. I have a friend who is eligible for an upgrade up doesn't want the phone. He was going to sell it. So he said he will order the white when it is available, give it to me and I'll give him the black to sell.
I'll return it less than 30 days later and use my 3GS until they do ship a white one...
I believe ATT/iphone sales returns are limited to 14 days? I cant link, the ATT site is DOWN, imagine that
Well, buying at Best Buy, so.
It really doesn't matter THAT much to me, but it is irritating.

If you are not satisfied with your iPhone purchase, please visit online Order Status or call 1-800-676-2775 to request a return. The iPhone must be returned to our warehouse within 30 calendar days from shipment to avoid an $175 early termination fee. The iPhone must be returned in the original packaging, including any accessories, manuals, and documentation.
Apple will assess a 10% restocking fee on any opened iPhone. Shipping fees are not refundable.

no one knows but ATT CSR told me a "guess" it will be after 7/4. Highly doubt that. I was told by 2 different ATT sales reps by email this morn they think its 7/4 and the other said August 2010 sometime.

No I don't, its obviously all Apple. But I was just trying to point out how when AT&T promised Tethering later this year (2009) and MMS later this summer and how they just miss their deadlines.
I'm unsure what I'm going to do. I'm going to wait a few days at least to see if they have any announcement as to when the white ones are going to be available before I make up my mind. I wanted a white one, but may go ahead and get the black if it's going to be too long. Way to crap on customer expectations Apple.
I mean, I can understand if something was wrong with the production. But to hype the white phone at WWDC and then make no announcement and fail to give any explanation as to where it went seems a little Busch league to me. I expect a little more from Apple.

Because I can and because Apple deserves it for being so gay. I hope a million others do it as well.

I really hope Apple clearly states today when the white will become available. This blows. It's my first choice but i do like the black too. I just want a better performing phone. I'd hate to order the black, use it, then in July the white comes out. I could wait til July. Beyond that i don't think it's worth waiting for. BUT PLEASE APPLE GIVE US AN AVAILABILITY DATE!!!!!!!
I'm leaning toward getting a black one for now. My brother has discussed potentially upgrading later in the summer sometime, so if he does, I'll have him order white and then switch with him. If not, no biggie.
