The 3G came out 2 years ago. But yeah, I think the old white iPhones looked feminine, but these new ones with the white front look classy.

seems like 3 years lol...

been a great phone though, never had ANY problem with it at all.. and I am glad I didn't get the extended warranty now lol ;-)

I will get it for the new phone tho
 
As much as I'd like to take the risk and opt for the white one, I'm going to go for the same old black I always get.

I still think that black devices "age" better cosmetically...unless you scratch them up or don't wipe off fingerprints.

I even waited for the black Wii to come out before I bought...
 
After some reading and consideration and staring at the photos, I am going with white..

I have a black 3G and it's time for a change.. I dislike the black and silver lining together, white and silver seem to match better and it gives it a look that pops out.

I am not one for trendy pop out materials, but this one is nice.

The Black Wii is the main reason why I am having such a hard time with this decision. I keep thinking the white iPhone looks great, but at the same time, I have recently been really regretting not getting a black Wii (Though I have had a Wii for a few years now so I guess it was worth it, I just wish it was black).

But then again, most people have Wii's that are white. Most people have iPhones that are black. It's nice to switch it up a little bit and go against the status quo. Black is always a safe bet — it'll always look good. But that's also why it's starting to get worn out, because everyone goes with black. White really pops out at you and can look fantastic. And if you're leaning more towards the white iPhone anyway, then go with it.

As popular as the Wii has been over the past few years, it's amazing how the Black Wii has been flying off the shelves in my local Best Buy, many of which I am sure are purchased by existing Wii users.

I'm with you...that was EXACTLY what was going through my mind when I saw the white iPhone 4...tempted, but not wowed.
 
I'm definitely getting white. After seeing Engadget's pictures, it really looks classic and sophisticated. I thought the white bezel would really cheapen it, but I was pleasantly surprised.

EDIT: Question: If you pre-order one color, can you change your mind once you get to the store to pick it up and see it in person? My girlfriend isn't so sure about black vs. white.
 
Looking at the side-by-side picture, white vs. black, does anybody else find the white bezel mildly distracting compared to the black???

I think it would probably depend on their stock on hand, and when you go to pick up your pre-order.

At first, I was dead-set on the black.
I have a white 3GS and, at first, I didn't like the white front of the iPhone 4.
But it is growing on me!
I really don't know now.
I still have some time to decide, I guess!

I've TRIED to like the white...just to try something different...but the more I look at it, the more the white bezel distracts me from the screen.

I think once you see the screen on and see things moving, it won't be much of a problem any more...
 
I think white looks too much like a toy/cheap, all my iphones have been black front and back because black is sexy, and I wll continue this trend with the iphone 4.
 
i know its a differnt phone, but holding my girlfriends white tocco phone ughh i just cant do it... no way in hell can i have a white all over phone, its too girly.

im deffinetly going with the black one, not risking it haha..
