Black...

The more I look at it in the pictures...especially the side-by-side ones...the more I feel that the white bezel is very distracting...at least to me.

I think the main reason most people think the white looks out of place is because for about three years now its been nothing but black fronts. I like how they're implementing the white front instead of the black front - white back.

I'm laughing at all the remarks from other guys about not wanting the white iPhone because it looks "girly." LOL

I'm getting the black for a different reason (the white bezel is distracting to me), but even if I did get the white one, I defy ANYBODY to say I look "girly" with it LOL

I'm 5'8" 225 with 8 percent body fat...Bring it on! :D
 
Black. I have never been a fan of the white iPhone, but I think the white iPhone 4 is hideously ugly.
 
When the pictures were floating around before it was actually released, I was set on buying a white one, especially if it would be white all around the front. And I was pumped when I saw it at first. But, the more I think about it, the more I want black. This is going to be my first iPhone, and I have been waiting since the first one to get one, and I know I wont regret black, because its classic, and its how they have always been. And I do like seamlessly the screen blends with the outside edge on the front of the black, where white is obviously a contrast, and I can't get over the little vent thing on the top being so obvious. Maybe when I upgrade this one in 2 years, I will be ready for white. But for now, Im going with the safe bet I guess.
 
wait so on the white model, the grill above the ear piece is a sensor ? why is it not visible in the black model ? i dont see any grill on the black one ?
 
I really like the white and black, they both look great in my opinion. I think I will get a white one, but that is only because I'm going to let my phone go naked this time. The black just shows way to many fingerprints. Either way, If you plan on getting a case it doesn't really matter.. Still the same phone, black or white :rolleyes:
 
I was excited to go white this time until I saw the pics of the leaked front bezels. I don't like the front white and I really don't like those holes above the earpiece. I am surprised Apple even allowed a white front if it meant putting holes for the ambient/proximity sensors. It is ugly and looks really cheap! I don't like the white at all as is honestly, it looks like something one of the other phone makers would do all cheap and slopped together with holes. Also, I don't like the white because it makes everything else more apparent that you don't want to make apparent, like all the holes for the camera, ear piece, sensors require additional holes etc. etc. Black minimizes all of those things from being noticeable and also puts much more focus on the focal point AKA the UI!

I like Apple's other white products, but in this case, it just does NOT work, PERIOD! :(
 
Maybe it's just the angle the photos on Engadget were taken -- but the white one looks like it has less glare than the black. It's probably just a different angle. I really like how the white shows less fingerprints though. And it'd go with my "retro" white 60gig 5th gen iPod. :D
 
White with colored bumpers look amazing. For those that say white looks like a toy, well it IS a toy ;)

i've always gotten both colors, white for me, black for wife.........and since the new ones are actually really color coordinated, what color will you guys be getting? i will stick with white, cause it just looks way nicer than before

i've always gotten black, but always wanted white. seems more "apple traditional".
 
initially i thought black, but after seeing all of the hands on videos with the white model, it's growing on me. i'm thinking of getting the white and going naked with it. aside from the potential of dropping it and cracking the glass, what do you all think of going naked with this model? not that any of us have held it yet...
 
i'm leaning towards white since the front bazel is finally completely white unlike the 3gs.

How come the white has that speaker looking thing above the ear piece speaker and the black doesnt seem to have it?
