No it is an express delivery. We should all be able to get them by Thursday at the latest if they keep this pace. Once they land in Louisville then its easy.

I kept the original iPhone as a backup phone and by using the SIM that was paired with the iPhone during iTunes activation I was able to move the active SIM between the original iPhone and the iPhone 3G without any issues.

I still laugh when the AT&T reps said the iPhone had a built-in SIM that you could not remove, I just smiled and left the store....

Well yes, it may work if the SIM is coming from another IPhone. I was assuming the SIM was coming from a BlackBerry or some other phone. I would still think that the safe bet is to use the new SIM since none of us really know if there would be any incompatibly problems.

U could still cancel your order and order from apple directly i checked their site about 30 minutes ago and they are still saying all iphone orders up until then will arrive the 19th they also stated before that all orders placed as of noon tomorrow the 17th will arrive on launch date

Exactly. Only the lens will do that. The larger MP just means you can blow it up bigger w/o getting fuzzy. You could get a decent 8x10 out of 3mp but how many of your iPhone pics are you gonna blowup to 8x10? I'd take better low-light sensitivity over MP on a camera phone.
 
Why would anyone bother ordering from ATT when you can go right to the manufacturer? That just seems like the smart thing to do.
 
Wait so do we know what is going to happen to us all who ordered the phone on 6/9 on att.com for home delivery, and have yet to have gotten a shipment # and are still "In progress" ?? :confused:

The scheduled delivery date is only updated once there is a departure scan step. In-transit arrivals are just in-transit tracking points, that's why the scheduled dates disappear for a while when the last step was an arrival scan....

Guys in a couple hours we are all gonna separate for the last time. I want to tell all of you how much I enjoyed our international flight and hope you all go onto very happy and successful career's as iPhones. This is sad.
 
I figured i'd play COD while waiting for more status updates.


too bad xbox live is down.. FAIL. This night sucks!

Sure, they could fly one of the four (Polar) routes but that takes and ER configuration that lowers fuel load and freight weight. It also requres additional fees so it does not make good sense for Freight. It is a good way to get from Chicago / Newark / or Washington DC Non-stop but even those flights have to be on Extended Range (ER) configurations that low max takeoff load rates.

I have done the Chicago and Newark Polar routes to HK and Beijing but it is a very expensive ticket to ride. :) They are now using the new 777 ER units and the Freight versions of the 777 are in the works due to the fuel savings, stay tuned....
