It looks like Apple/UPS is spreading the shipments. They ship out a certain group one at a time to the US. We just happen to be the last shipment that will hopefully go out tomorrow and arrive Friday..
I ordered my iPhone 3G S on June 11th, and it still doesn't have a tracking number and says they have received my order and will process, Do you think i will still get mine on Friday?
How many days it take for shipment to arrive in USA (CA) from China?

I ordered on 13th on Apple.com ( Initially ordered on 10th......but when I chnged WHT to BLK by calling ATT.....they didnt replaced my order.....ATT SUCKS

i agree that they are probably shipping out to certain areas in groups, so i think that instead of just "mine shipped" or "mine is still prepared for shipping," tell us where you are having it shipped and when you ordered.
can't do anything about when they will arrive, but with all of the people posting on this forum, it shouldn't be too hard to figure out if there are any patterns and what they are if so. that will take at least some of the guesswork out of it.
i ordered yesterday morning (6/16) 7:35am pacific time. i am having mine delivered to las vegas, nv. current status is "prepared for shipping."
my order status page still says "delivery by 6/19," so i am trusting that for now.
-ordered June 8th, 7:51pm PST.
-having it delivered to Edison, NJ
-current status: prepared for shipping , 24 hours ago
-shipping method: priority

Central Florida (Orlando) and no tracking number. Ordered on 6/10, order switched to "Prepared For Shipment" around 12:15 PM 6/16 and hasn't budged. It's slightly encouraging to see a contingent of people from roughly the same geographical area as me having the same issue, makes me think all our phones are together somewhere.

Also from Orlando, ordered on 6/8/09 but didn't get get my tracking number till just this morning.
as little as next day - go to ups.com and calculate shipping time. put in a chinese postal code (use google) and yours and it'll show various options. next day is a very distinct possibility. and apple is using the "world ease" service which is meant to expedite the customs process.
Mine is the same, but it says delivery by 6/22 and it is being delivered to Chicago. I ordered at 1:15 central on the 8th. I did receive the email from Apple on the 9th that said it would be here by the 19th. I just called Apple again (can't help myself) and they said they expect it to be here by the 19th b/c they expect all of them to be delivered by the 19th. No particular info on my order. I give up. I'm hoping it will be here Friday, but not expecting it. I would honestly be less pissed off about this if: (1) my Treo hadn't broken on the 7th, and (2) I would be home on Monday -- but either way, it's not cool that phones weren't shipped out in order. It would be understandable if it got shipped and UPS messed up and it got delayed by weather or what have you. But not sending it out in time to get here is just not cool -- IF that is what is happening. I do still think it is possible it is coming overnight from the US.
My boyfriend and I ordered both ordered our phones on the 9th and are being delivered to the same address. We're right outside of Philly. His phone shipped with the first batch from China and mine still says "Prepared for shipment". We both have 16GB, his is black and mine is white.
It says, "We have received your order request, and we expect to begin processing it shortly." And i ordered as a premier customer. And i am so nervous because i want it Friday!
Sounds almost exactly like mine, just switch Edison NJ with Annandale, NJ and youve got my ordered within an hour.
My Sister in law ordered a white 16 gig on Tuesday and she is Prepared for Shipment for 6/19. I suspect that the black iphones in the states sold quickly and the white ones are still "in stock"..which might be why his is coming from China..while yours is already accounted for in the US.
Granted..thats purely speculation.
if yours are 8gb...you didnt order the iphone 3G S...you ordered the 3G...that sucks...

Because of the time difference, flights usually arrive in the US (AK) on the same day.
