So. Anyone still being "prepared for shipment" on Apple?
Me. Has been for 24 hours now.
Mine is still "prepared for shipment"
yeah mine has said the same thing for about 24 hours but my shipping part says "priority" b/c when i ordered it on the 8th, i chose overnight. my still says "Ships: Delivers by June 19th" ... we'll see!

But if it is in a place where it takes 24 hours (or less) to get to me..I wouldn't expect to get a shipment update until tomorrow.
for all those "prepared for shipment" statuses ... have your cards been charged yet? mine had a hold last week for 3 days and its been dropped and never been put back on..
mine has been shipped but the money hasnt been taken out yet. the hold was taken off
That'd be me. It was my only option, and as much as I was pissed at first, I don't have to extend my commitment to AT&T....and that is priceless.
Well they're rumored to have a large stock already in the US, so hopefully you'll see it shipped overnight on Thursday.

I haven't been charged as of yet because my status is "Prepared for Shipment"
From what I understand, you don't get charged until it actually gets shipped out to you.. then you'll be charged.
Not yet..but I think I read somewhere that you won't get charged till the item ships.
I ordered on the 9th. Credit card detail showed 3 temp transactions. The price and 2 separate $1 charges. The hold was dropped as of this morning.
What worries me if Apple does it that way is, I've never received anything "truely" overnight. I almost always have a 1 day gap. So if they're not sending it out till Thursday night, it's going to be very iffy that I would receive it on Friday...

I just got that status yesterday. I think my phone is coming from a stockpile in the US already. I'm basising that on nothing, but it works for me. I'm sure I'll get it on Friday. Maybe it will help you get some sleep tonight if you think that way.

I think for every Apple or UPS rep you call to bug about your phone, they should delay it for 24 hours. Seriously, these people don't care about you or your phone. Let them deal with people that have legitimate problems with their computers and/or deliveries.
If you don't have it in your hands by midnight on 06/20, then, by all means, call them up. Until them, give 'em a break.

Both UPS and FedEx are experts at this. If someone pays for overnight shipping (within the US, that is), as long as it is in their possession by the cutoff time (usually 7pm, depending), they'll get it there by 10:30 the next day. Businesses depend on this, so I wonder if your experience as to never having received anything overnight was using *actual* overnight shipping. Or maybe you're out in the middle of nowhere? I don't even know if that can hold them up. (Maybe just till later in the day...)
How many people from Florida, specifically South Florida, have tracking numbers if you ordered from Apple.com? I ask because I believe what was said above to this person may be the case. I am thinking that South Florida is super far from China and apple could have very likely shipped phones to various locations prior to us tracking this stuff and they are being held at various delivery sites.
Again, this is often done with other products such as books, video-games, movies. At least that is what I am hoping cause mine still says "prepared for shipping" and has said that for over the past 24 hours now and I really hope to get it by Friday. I already sold my 3G and am going through major withdrawal using a regular cell phone. So painful..
