how long after you guys received shipment confirmation did your tracking go live on fedex i've had shipment confirmation since about 730 will it take longer then an hour or so?
Me as well...I think Apple hates people near the Philadelphia area. Thats why we don't have an Apple Store in Philly either.

I'm around Milwaukee with the same status (16GB White). Maybe they will probably come from the same shipment.
Same here. If I don't have tracking information by later this afternoon I will be calling Apple to see what is up.
I just got off the phone with Apple (only 18 minutes) and the women told me even though my dates says it will be delivered on the 22nd she said "that's nothing" and that it "will be shipped out today". So sometime today I should get a tracking number according to her, and I shouldn't worry cause it will be here tomorrow. Today mine finally comes out of the "prepared for shipment" status.

I got my shipment notification and i live slap right near downtown chicago about 5 minutes away but i'm getting it shipped to my job more south since that's where i'll be on friday wish i could call off to play with it all day but i can't
Yes. It could take hours to get any usable info. FedEx has to pickup the package before you'll get a delivery time. Until that time you'll either get a message that no info is available yet, or "billing info rec'd," which is equally useless.
My delivery date STILL shows the 22nd and the order is STILL being prepared. I ordered my 32 GB Black G3 S at the conclusion of the keynote. In addition I did get an e-mail from Apple assuring me it would be delivered by the 19th.

I know that this is becoming old news since this thread is updated like twice a minute... but no one else at work appreciates my excitement, so I'll share with you guys.
Ordered June 8 from Apple.com for home delivery. Finally changed from "Prepared for Shipment" to "Shipped" at 8am today!

What for? To suffer the humiliation of getting spanked by an ATT clerk? No way are they going to 1) not let you have it and 2) not be snarky when they tell you to come back at 7am tomorrow.
Same here...ordered a 16GB Black on 6/8 @ 7:50 PST...i live in NY. So not pumped about this "prepared for shipping." Ordered from the Apple Store online.
I will join you in your excitement since that's exactly what happened to my order status this morning! And now I have a FedEx tracking number! Woo-hoo!
If you just stroll into the store whenever you feel like it, you may find that all of the preorder phones are gone.
