It is... I wasn't eligible for upgrade until a few months ago but I wanted to hold out for the new thing... The wait the past few months hasn't been so bad, but I've been driving myself insane for the past 10 days. lol
My UPS tracking says my packaged arrived in Anchorage, Alaska yesterday at 1:50 PM and hasn't changed since. I suspect Sarah Palin is holding things up. She's our country's first line of defense, ya know... ; )
yes. Hopefully we get a arrival scan or something. Thats 1AM eastern time? They get the over night packages ready from 1-4 i think i saw on youtube. Then they are sent out. It only takes 15 minutes to get processed through UPS main HUB in louisville.
I hope we arent following a wrong flight. But its the last one so it has to be this one.
Finally Got My Tracking!
I ordered my unit from apple on 6/10 at 10am and finally got my tracking number. I've called apple twice this week to verify i'd get my unit and each time was assured. Pretty stoked to finally have some progress. Anyone whos still in "prepared for shipment" knows what i've been going through the last few days.

Might want to re-think that time of yours. I was at the store at midnight last year for the 3G launch, and was still 12th in line. However they didn't allow pre-orders, so I'm sure this year will not be as bad - however, an hour early hardly seems it will be enough

I posted this 2 pages ago. There are 4 UPS flights leaving Alaska today/tonight for Louisiville. Off to work will check again around midnight and hope for the best.

so on my fedex tracking page it says that although this morning apple sent in the info, they haven't picked up the iphone yet. How can it be delivered by tomorrow if they don't even have it yet? :O

he knew it was my iphone being shipped and that ups signed the agreement that they WILL have everything shipped ON friday. time varies by location.

Same here, but I'm sure everything will work out. I'd say check later tonight and see if it's updated.
I wish I could take my own advice though, I'm refreshing like every half hour haha.

Nice! Congrats! If you were not sleeping on a 3G->3GS upgrade, I would be a little worried. Might not be worth the hype. But if this was my first, I would have had three sleepless nights!

Same here -- from what I've read on here, we're among a minority of people who ordered online for home delivery. Since we're all seeing the same thing, I'm thinking this is representative of the experience for this order type.
I 'm pretty sure when I ordered, it gave me free overnight shipping. Did you have the same?
