So it's 8pm on the East Coast and I'm still "prepared for shipment". I think I'm screwed.

You are NOT* screwed!!! When it comes to updating shipping statuses, UPS can be verry slow...ESPECIALLY because they were given a LARGE bulk of shipments to deliver all in one day...so hope is not lost!!!:)

I'm an Industrial Engineer for UPS, and hopefully I can provide a little color for some of you waiting on iPhone shipments due tomorrow. The Apple Shenzhen distribution is a very tightly controlled movement that has different flow depending on the final delivery point, and UPS is obligated to throttle each shipment to ensure they are not injected into the network prematurely. I can assure you that wherever your shipment is located right now, it is either at the hub it will be sorted through tonight, or is about to fly to that hub within the next 3 hours. For most of you in the midwest and east coast, you will most likely see your shipment move through the Louisville WorldPort hub between the hours of 11 PM and 3 AM tonight, many flying in from Anchorage which is the jump-off point to/from China for many cargo airlines. They will be automatically sorted to your city's flight along with all other Next Day Air shipments. All U.S. domestic flights leave in a tightly choreographed schedule to arrive in your destination city by 6:30 AM. If the service level is NDA, you can expect your usual UPS driver to deliver by 10:30 or 12:00 depending on where you live, or by end of day(usually before 6:30) if the service is NDA Saver. Hope this helps clarify a little of what you all are seeing...

Thank you for a voice of reason here Jackstraw (from Wichita?)

ATT website finally updated my order with status shipped. But there's no Fedex tracking number. Anyone in the same boat? Hopefully, we will get our phones Tomorrow.

Im on the east coast and mine just arrived in Newwark NJ. It went to PA then to NJ.
So yea, your screwed.

Were on the same plane!!!! haha, where's your final destination? Florida here, wondering why they went NORTH!????????!?!? lol I trust Apple

How many other people are still sitting in KY? What shocks me.. and it may just not be updated... is it's actually been in KY since the 16th [regardless of what it says, it was updated quite a lot and the times changed], but other peoples have left to even NJ, etc.

mine says the same thing...called UPS a little while ago and they guaranteed my delivery by tomorrow morning (before 10:30) ....so no need to worry:)

For those of you that will not be at home to personally receive your package, did Apple provide an "Electronic InfoNotice" to print, sign, and leave for the driver? As valuable as the phones are, drivers will not be leaving the phones on your doorstep as if it's a book...

Yup, we are probably flying together

Not Quite

My phone has been stuck in Louisville for two days! I think it's been held and enough time has been wasted already. Just ship it before it is too late!

our phones were brought overseas and held to be shipped on there promised delivery date. it is not like they held our phone as gun point and whipped them with Blackberry's. seriously chill it will be here soon they will get released sometime after midnight and make the rest of there journey. Apple has done exactly what they promised and I think UPS will do fine as well.
