i guess i'll do my question in full...
i am using an upgrade from another number on my family plan.
can i just insert my sim and plug it into itunes or use the current sim (one that came with phone) and activate with their number, then put in my sim card?????

Can someone who has activated an iphone on itunes before tell me what I should have ready? I'm a new ATT user if that makes a difference.

I'm expecting to need a credit card and my SSN

Mine just updated too.. I'm from Reading, PA, so it had to go past me from Middletown, PA to Newark, NJ; and then it'll come back.

Wow. I'm also from Reading, PA lol....except mine came from China and is currently listed as being stuck in Alaska (which I hope to God is just because they haven't updated the tracking) I was so pissed to hear that a ton were coming from Middletown, because that's practically right up the road from us. And of course they decide to send mine from across the world.

Wow. I ordered two, one is in Hong Kong according to UPS and the other is coming from Middletown via FedEX. They're both coming to the same address- I've got my fingers crossed for UPS to update the tracking tonight.

Short answer is Yes in the US if you have an existing active AT&T SIM.

Your package will probably go through Ontario, CA. Even if it were on the Lousiville jet, California is easy from Kentucky...you fly backward 3 hours!!
