I think Apple may have requested some or all of the tracking information be delayed. Maybe to keep people from getting pissed when they see that the iphone was sitting at the UPS shop down the road for a couple of days.

Just a guess. I know that's probably not UPS's way of doing business, but Apple obviously has some pull in this case.

i'm thinking this too. most movement seems to have stopped last evening - china, ak, ky, all stuck since last night. something fishy. i think the tracking is just on hold, but the packages are moving.
 
Mine just shipped from AT&T, I ordered around 7:30 AM EST on the 9th and it's showing delivery tomorrow by 4:30! :D

The phone is probably in your city right now. If it was held by customs it would say something different than "UPS will attempt to deliver on the date requested". You'll wake up tomorrow and it will be there. No need to call UPS.

Ya, mine says its still hangin out in kentucky too.... We'll see tomorrow I suppose!

Does everyone who has a FedEx tracking number have a delivery of "by 3pm?!?!?!"

I want it by 10:30/12 like all the UPS people... :(

seeing that the west coast flight lands in Ontario, CA and the east coast one flies into Louisville (like it has), most likely the east coast one. They also have more shipments into that hub so it will cover more east coast areas.

This west coast flight into Ontario is the first one i've seen...

If yours is being shipped fedex and still says that it hasn't been picked up yet you're not getting your iphone tomorrow! just called apple and they confirmed..

Wow, I'm kinda shocked by how f'd this is.
 
Just got off the phone with FedEx. I gave them my tracking # and they said the shipper created the label (13 hours ago), but NEVER scheduled a pick up WTF Apple! This is horrible customer service! I have been told over and over that I would get it on the 19th. Now I wont because of their F up

Ok just got off the phone with Apple, explained the situation, he put me on hold while he discussed it with his supervisor. He said I will still get it, that it was shipped with a bunch of others in a large batch and each one was not individually scanned, hence the confusion. He said I will be getting it tomorrow. I hope he is correct.

yup. mine says the same thing. but according to UPS. customs hold. sounds like a CYA maneuver on their end...

Stop assuming the worst, Customer Service knows nothing. They were probably not scanned. FedEx is still showing a delivery date of tomorrow, so until FedEx says otherwise I will be expecting my iPhone 3GS tomorrow..

Yeah I work at a call center, so i can sort of see how they feel. Its super annoying. If i were them id probably quit. LOL:apple:
 
My iphone shipped this morning at around 8 shipped from middleton pa seen no activity till about 3 when it finally left there and then around 530 it arrived in nj. Wtf I live in chicago last time I checked nj is further away from Chicago then pa is. Can anyone expli this or has anyone else seen this happen

EVERYONE WILL HAVE THEIR IPHONE BY TOMORROW!!!!

good point.

buuut, they prolly had shipments to the west coast already ready in their own pallets so they could easily unload ASAP!

this flight #63 has been making Anchorage to Ontario flights all week...i'm sticking with this one. UPS updates are slow, but we should've seen them already. Just go back and research Tuesday nights fly-in from Anchorage (we're updated appx. 3 hours after take off from AK.

but then again, what do I know, I'm just a 16 year old kid waiting for his iPhone! :rolleyes:
