Nah, put it on hold with the rest of the people so I could get caught up in all of the excitement.
How long does it take for FedEx to pick up a package once Shipment information has been sent? I got my tracking # almost 13 hours ago and it has been labeled as "Shipment information sent to FedEx" this whole time. Anyone else have this problem? I was confident I would get my iPhone tomorrow, but now, not so much

After calling FedEx, I found out that my iphone 3GS is at mira loma, ca (sent to my home in the Bay Area) right now and the cutoff time for a pickup is at 6:00. The status hasn't been updated yet but here's hoping things go smoothly.
On one hand, it annoys me that the phone is a mere 6 hours away from me!
Well, mine is in the same shipment as yours. It is now "stuck" in Hong Kong. A UPS supervisor ASSURED me it would be here tomorrow...hope their right! haha

I would appreciate any advice (or link to some) too. I am an AT&T customer (currently with a Samsung) and have never 'activated' an iPhone. My iPhone was ordered directly from Apple. Will I need to go into an AT&T store to get it up and running?

No. Once you get it it will come with a SIM card. Put that in (If it doesn't come in already), and activate through iTunes.

you guys wanted proof that i picked up my iphone tonight...
unfortunately the iPhone box was filled with "M&M's" but the writing on the candy shells wasn't in English; it was in Chinese so i don't know if they are real M&M's or not. There was also a 1gb flash drive in their with a ripped copy of Jackie Chan's "Rumble in the Bronx".
Sorry, I would've filled everyone in sooner but the Chinese M&M's gave me a stomach ache which could only be remedied by seeing Jackie Chan save New York from villains in a giant hover craft.
Has anyone else picked up their iPhone only to be disappointed by pseudo-Mars chocolates?

i should totally know this, but..
my line is on a family plan, three lines total. i had a 3G before and we had a FAMILY unlimited text plan. when i go to activate my 3G S, do i just not select an iPhone text messaging plan since i already have a family unlimited plan on our lines? i should be fine right?

I'm fairly sure that they won't let you select a plan.
In the off chance that they do, select none.
It won't change anything.

All tracking numbers ending in 8921 (apple) are messed up. Apple sent out the slips but never gave them the prdoucts and they told me not to expect it tomorrow. if this is true i'm going to be PISSED.

There was a note that said:

I just chose unlimited again for $20
If it adds 2 unl-text plans then i'll just remove one
