I am worried my phone might not delivered by 9:15 AM Friday. Do you think I should call Apple, AT&T and UPS and see if they will make a special case for me? Maybe their customer service representatives haven't had any annoying freak out calls today and will help me? I have to drop my daughter off at soccer practice at 10AM and really need the GPS to get to the field. I HAVE TO HAVE IT!!!!
Has anyone's credit card (or debit card) been charged yet? The hold that was put on my account dropped on Friday and they've yet to put it back up...
My original hold dropped... last week, Then they increased my tax by 5% after the hold dropped, Then I got a hold that would just about equal the added tax, but I got a couple of holds today that total around $14 which is weird, because I have not used that card since I bought the iPhone.
But now I have to move money around to make sure I have enough in that account to cover the iPhone in case that is not apple making holds.

I ordered through the Premier store and is still says "In-Progress"
I would have ordered through Apple if I could, but there was some stupid authorization problem that forced me to order through AT&T
i'm going to bed! hopefully when i wake up i'll have "shipped" and a tracking number???????

Ordered mine this morning (round 8am est) and it has changed to a status of shipped as of 10:36pm this evening. I believe that if you had ordered last week, chances are they will overnight it to you so you receive it Friday from one of their many local shipping facilities.
Shipping from China will likely take until Friday hence why a lot of more recent orders are seeing changes.
No worries...I'm sure everyone will get their phones on time, Apple tends to know what they're doing.

OH YES, CALL APPLE RIGHT AWAY, THEY WILL CERTAINLY HELP YOU.
Then come back and tell us how that goes.
It will be there....or you can drive yourself crazy for the next 4 days checking the status every five minutes haha.
Apple has stated that if you order by the 17th, you will get it by the 19th...if stock levels indicated otherwise, I'm sure they would have notified customers like AT&T did.
i didnt order mine from apple though . i ordered it directly from my local AT&T store would that make a difference ?
I've gotten 2 tracking numbers now. So everyone can stop worrying about the Friday date. I ordered my phones in an ATT store.
The first one I order was a black 16GB on Tuesday the 10th and it has a tracking number that says it was shipped on the 12th.
The second, a black 32GB I order on Friday the 12th and it just popped up tracking number and says it shipped today.
I'll be visiting my ATT store Friday morning to pick up the 32GB for sure (if not both).

it's driving a whole bunch of us insane how some status' have been updated while others are left waiting in the wind -___-";
hmmm...now that's a different story. AT&T said the cutoff was Saturday for getting them on release day so you should be fine.
i hope so because i got the confirmation for my order friday night at 7 . which should be before the deadline .
