yeah i ordered mine on the 8th from the Apple Store Online...and it still says "Prepared for Shipment"...im starting to get a little angry/worried

Mine was ordered on the same date and as of right now it still says "Not Yet Shipped"
 
Not sure if anyone experienced this, but my 1st generation phone that is being replaced went off-line from 10pm-3am last night. Very odd.

Not to mention it was my wife's phone and I haven't told her yet that I ordered the new one and will be swiping her sim card (as I need her discount). Shhhhh
 
Mine is going to be here tomorrow according to UPS. Ha right...

Yes, I ordered on the 8th and the status hasn't changed. status is "Not Yet Shipped", with the note: "Ships: Delivers by June 19th"
 
My UPS tracking info shows a scheduled delivery of 6/17.

I will be shocked to get it then. I don't expect I'll see it until Friday.

Has anyone even thought that AT&T may not even allow the new phones to be activated until the 19th no matter if they get it tomorrow or Thursday? We all know what a bunch of f*cks they are!

However THAT was Fedex.... 3GS is being shipped by UPS (My least favorite shipper).. But here's hoping :)

me too. ordered on 8th but still "not yet shipped". called apple yesterday and was ensured that it will arrive on 19th.

It was going to be here tomorrow, but with your bad attitude I had it canceled and it won't ship until the following week. Sorry about the inconvenience but there are some people with better attitudes that deserve it more than your right now.

yea I ordered about 12:30 pm on the 8th right after the WWDC keynote and I still have a "not yet shipped"

Well, I was trying hard not to post, but I'm getting fairly annoyed. I ordered on the 8th. On the 8th, a rep told me it would arrive on the 24th and then upgraded me to the 22nd. On the 9th, I got the infamous Apple email saying that the 22nd was wrong and I would have it on the 19th. Nevertheless, my order status remains "not yet shipped", shipping June 19, arriving June 22.

I talked to Apple TWICE yesterday, and they each assured me I would have it on the 19th. No change in order status overnight. Apple just emailed me to make sure my questions about my order were answered. I wrote them back and repeated my question ... we'll see.

I can live with getting it on the 19th, even if others who ordered later get it on the 17th -- not ideal, but shipping is not an exact science -- but I will be really upset if I don't get it this week, not least because my Treo died on the 7th.

Speaking of which, I'm porting a number from Verizon and Apple never sent me any confirmation that that worked either ...

How many times do they have to tell you it'll be there the 19th before you believe them?
 
Come the 19th I would hate to work in either AT&T or Apple customer service. They are going to catch hell something fierce!

Guys, don't get too worried if yours hasn't shipped yet. I ordered on the 8th as well from Apple with no status change. And who knows? Maybe they aren't all coming from China. It could be possible that they already had a whole pile of them prepped in Memphis or California or something since last week, so they obviously wouldn't need to be sent out til later. Or of course, all 100% of them could be coming from China. Just throwing that idea out there.

There are valid reasons, however, everytime i went to the AT&T website the delivery said something like "as early as the 19th". It did not say you would get the phone by the 19th, it said you would get the phone on the 19th or later.
This is why i used apple.com to order, because their site said ON JUNE 19, period.
And as far as the backorder, AT&T has no control over the # of devices apple gives them for allotment. There are multiple articles on the web right now about those allotments at AT&T & other stores being backordered, but apple.com still has (atleast they did last i check) inventory to ship.

Anyway... i dont think you can blame AT&T for not shipping or not getting it to anyone by the 19th because their ordering site has always shown (atleast since the 10th) that the device would ship with the earliest arrival of the 19th, which means it could come then, or after.

I dont work for ATT Wireless, just stating why i chose apple.com to order from. I do hope all of you get your toys this week!!!!

btw, I think that people who ordered from ATT have a legitimate reason to be disappointed ..many of us have been told that we will get our phones by the 19th.
Anyways, you getting your phone by the 17th as you were so happy to post ...please don't try to give us a speech here about how ATT operates..We paid the same price as anybody else and we expect to have it by release date
 
Keep in mind the time difference. Right now there's a 12 hour time difference between China and the US east coast. So if it says it left China at 12:30PM on the 15th, it means it left at 12:30AM in your time. So you "gain" 12 hours, which makes it very possible to get to you in a day. The time stamps on UPS tracking are based on local time at the scan, not your timezone.
