The times are pretty wacked out. My guess is the next scan will be an arrival scan in the US.

Mine looks just like yours. all the same exact times and everything. except my scheduled delivery date is the 18th. I'm in california so the different state is prolly why it has a different delivery date i'm asuming. I have no idea how the packages departed before they arived though. haha that one is new to me.

p.s. why does it say the product is "world ease" ?
Not sure why you thnk the times are wacked out.

The tracking is in a reverse reporting order and shows the latest scan update at the top of the "Location" section.

The flight from HK will arrive at the UPS International Hub (Worldport) located at the Louisville International Airport in Louisville, Kentucky. Your distance from the Hub determines any additional delivery time. There is a set of UPS Zones that show the delivery ranges.

If I found the right flight, looks like the flight my iPhone should be on won't depart Hong Kong for another 6 hours or so (right now it is 1:36 Hong Kong time).

According the my UPS tracking number, I expect to receive mine here in southern California on the 18th.

It is out of Apple's hands. UPS has it now, Apple has no power over it now.
As I said before if UPS says:
"Your package is on time with a scheduled delivery date of 06/17/2009"
Then that is when UPS plans to deliver it. They don't care what Apple says, they have all the power at this point and if Apple forgot to schedule a delivery date of 06/19, the it is their loss and there is nothing they can do at this point.

There is a reason you don't see anyone's delivery date for the 15th or the 16th. The delivery dates for homes and the stores are the 17th-19th.

Apple will not risk it being held up and shipping the week after. There would very disappointed people. This is why the need more than an 8-10 hour delivery window on Friday. They will deliver between the 17th and the 19th.

Remember I am not in a debate with you just stating what I know :)rolleyes:
It would be great to get them early but Apple has ALL the power. Would you like to piss off Apple with iPhone deliveries and lose that business.
There were stories of early deliveries years ago and Apple asked for deliveries to be held in the trucks until after the stores started selling them.

'Scheduled Delivery' Date disappeared!

This is weird - my UPS tracking info had a scheduled delivery of '6/17/09'. Until about an hour ago - when the status was updated with the origin scan in Hong Kong. Now there is NO scheduled delivery field at all! Anyone else have this?

Prepared for Shipment

IPHONE 3G S BLACK 16GB-USA

There is no fact in that article... Its based on posts of users here. No one has actually seen their phone yet, or can say for certain that it will be arriving early.

**** On the matter of activating your phone, I recently spoke with Apple:

You are chatting with John T, an Apple Expert
APPLE: Hi, my name is John T. Welcome to Apple!
ME: Hello
APPLE:Hi... How are you today?
ME:Great, thanks
APPLE:How can I help?
ME: I purchased the iPhone 3G S yesterday (monday) and I was curious about two things.
APPLE: Sure.
ME: 1) When I receive it via pre-order will I be able to activate it from my home? Or will I need to go to AT&T or Apple?
ME: 2) Will it arrive to me by the 19th still, as advertised?
APPLE:Yes you can activate at home, and it will be there on the 19th.

There you go. Activate from home.

thank you for this clarification :)

After prowling this forum for 2 days, I've decided to jump on the bandwagon and share my experience...

Ordered iPhone 3G S White 16GB at 6:30 PM PDT on June 8, 2009

Status changed from "Not yet shipped" to "Prepared for Shipment" today (June 16) at 12:30 PM CDT.

No tracking number yet... I'll subscribe to the theory that an early batch is already on American soil... but maybe not. As long as it's here by Friday (which I'm not worried about at all), I don't care how it gets here.

Yeah, sure it will be OK though

Alright I've gone total geek here.

It looks like UPS has one flight today going from HKG to ANC

http://www.flightstats.com/go/FlightTracker/flightTracker.do?id=162860506

That flight arrives in ANC around 1PM local time. Flight tracker doesn't show the departure info because they can't/don't track europac flights. When it hits US airspace it should say something. I think thats as close to real time as anyone will get.

The flight departs at 7:26PM and arrives at 12:54PM in Anchorage. The flight is currently on time.

i just want my phone to arrive before friday, taste air for about 3 seconds while i apply the screen protector and then slip it into my white otterbox defender case. then after that, its countless hours of playing with my NEW and FIRST iPhone!!!

Since it is being shipped world ease express does this mean that the phones will be delivered in the express timeframe. Before 10:30am?

cool! i am about 2 hours away from Louisville (live in cincinnati). so maybe it WILL come tomarrow. that would be great cuz its my ONLY off day. the rest of the week i'd have to do the pre-sign thing and worry about it being on my porch all day.

Listen Debbie Downer, Apple cannot change the delivery date now.

You're in Brown Town Now.

Looks like everyone's is going to prepared for shipment, so I checked mine, and mine is now indeed prepared for shipment, something it wasn't an hour ago.

Looks like we'll be seeing our phones on the 19th if they ship tomorrow.

This is the 3rd go around with iPhones, and I am shocked, SHOCKED, people didn't expect this. Apple is always going to keep 90% of the phones and give the other 10% to AT&T. I bet you will be able to walk in the Apple store, no matter how long the line, almost all weekend before they run out. Conversely, I bet most AT&T stores will get 10 phones or less, each.

3rd time is a lesson charm folks: ORDER FROM APPLE!!

Since I have been prepared for shipment since Sat, I am assuming my phone is coming from somewhere already in the US. But I wish I was going to get it early.

Wasn't this way before I went to lunch...

nope, not mine..still "not yet shipped" and my order date was Jun 8, 2009 at 07:49 PM PDT

So what's the consensus on this? Will Apple really get these to us by the 19th? I don't want this to another 17" MBP debacle, though I did get extremely lucky and have it shipped the same night.

Trying to decide whether I should order online right now or go to the store on Friday.
