You may not understand how important this is....but you will.

We need to just shut this site down until Friday, grab a six pack, and get laid. This is getting ridiculous. I track packages myself, but now I can track which plane its on? Duuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuude.

I agree. I mean I appreciate the effort and keeping everyone informed, but tracking flights is pretty hardcore ;)

Hehehe :)

Always use flightaware.com. You will know where it all is, the flight times match up with the scans at the carriers, and then you are golden from there :)

Delivery date disappeared

Mine landed in Alaska a short time ago...and my delivery date disappeared. :(

Hey guys! Great info going around here.

I just posted (on my TechDude16 account) a thread with information on how to find out what FLIGHT your iPhone 3G S is on, or any other shipment for that matter.

Its pretty sweet, and some confirmed reports from editors at TUAW and other forum members, the flight times match up, meaning people really may get their phones tomorrow!

(or will hopefully NOT be held at a warehouse until Friday...)

Check it out and hope it helps!

dont count on the delivery dates.. people had today as the delivery date and changed

I never expected to get it before the 19th, despite the tracking number stating otherwise. If you guys think it's impossible for Apple to work it out so phones don't get delivered til the 19th, then you may find yourself a little disappointed when you don't see them tomorrow or Thursday. It would be awesome if some leaked through, but I'm willing to bet it won't be a majority of them.

They will hold them once they're in the country (U.S.)...

Yes, that is a possibility... they did this with one shipment of iPod Touches when they first came out, because their ship date corresponded with Chinese Holiday and their customs papers didnt get to the US in time or something, until Apple starting using world ease...

Any who, after they clear customs in Anchorage, they will definitely move them to Louisville and hold them there. That is their main hub and a logical place for a strategic push out once the launch date rolls around... and UPS tracking system has been wrong many times before, and does not include exceptions ont eh user-end.... it only does that in the special notes section on the shipper's end, and online tracking only goes as far as schedules, or confirmed dates with flat-rate shipping.

Why, Apple will give a full credit to anyone who pre-ordered and participated in this thread?

Because if not it really is not all that important.....
