Did you order from Apple? If so log in to your account where it lists your shipment and tracking #. There you will see a link to "Pre Sign" for your shipment. Print it out and follow the instructions. I have used the form several times since I live in a good neighborhood and do not have to worry about packages being left at my house.

This option is not available with AT&T AFAIK.

theres a presign form you have to fill out from apple.com (next to your tracking # once it ships)

i already got mine taped to the door just in case by some miracle it somes tomarrow morning and im sleeping lol

Not a chance. If you did that, and it wasn't there, who do you call? If they say they left it, and it's not there, what do you do next?

Your best bet is to get the tracking number, go to your local UPS delivery site and ask them to stop it there instead of having it put on the truck.

I do that when I get something ridiculously large sent to me. I feel guilty that the driver's going to have to drag that thing to me. So I have them keep it at the UPS site and I go pick it up.

Apple orders are ok
ATT store orders/pickup ok
ATT online order and home delivery=we're screwed

I'm the latter and still "in progress"

since noi one has a DEPARTURE scan out of Alaska yet are we sure its on the plane to Louisville and still not sitting in Alaska ??

Sometimes they don't do departure scans, especially if the stuff never came off the plane. I have had it happen to many packages I've tracked.

Did anyone else have their 'scheduled delivery date' go away? Mine said the 17th all day long but as of a couple hours ago it doesn't say anything anymore :(

I'm the same as you and under the same impression.

I tried to order from Apple on the 8th and my account always resulted in an error. Tried to order in an AT&T store on the 9th and idiot employee told me it was already sold out for shipment to the store. Finally, ordered on the 9th online from AT&T because that was the only option left and now I'm still in "processing" limbo land.

That, is lame. I am trying to remain hopeful, though.

Same boat as you. Im hoping for a tracking number tomorrow. But well see.

Yes, I do this all the time with UPS. All the sign says is "UPS Please leave package and accept this sign as signature" and they leave it.
