You kidding right ?

If you actually used both OS systems you would know that your comment way off the mark.

Both OS X and windows have their pros and cons.

Windows gets all the good games and best graphics subsystem and drivers. Mac is best at everything else.

Bringing back Windows 7 features? Reminds me when apple went from 9 to OS X and removed the finder color labels and then introduced it in 10.2 as if it was a new feature.

OSX hasn't changed forever, its still stuck in the XP like days and apple seem unwilling to try and move forward with a new GUI direction.

Nice of you to sign up on here today to bash OSX. Are you friends with member ApfelSchaf? Similar spelling of Apple, similar bashing of all things apple, similar brand fu*king new member.... Does Microsoft or Samsung pay you to post? Do they pay you a lot? Because they are overpaying for worthless comments.

Bugs me when Apple does it, bugs me when Microsoft does it. Maybe insinuating that we have the attention span and memory retention of a gnat is just annoying.

Xerox PARC

For those who don't know what this poster is referring to check out this link:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_the_graphical_user_interface

Of course, if you read the linked article, you might still be wondering what the poster's point was. It's part of the Mac myth that Apple "stole" the idea of a GUI and mouse from Xerox PARC (Apple paid for the visit and went well beyond what Xerox had done), just as it's a myth that Windows "stole" the Mac OS look and feel (they had an agreement that allowed them to copy it, and had better lawyers to get away with continuing to copy it).

The point being the word "stole" is pretty loaded and seldom accurate. Steve Jobs liked to quote Picasso "Good artists borrow (copy), great artists steal" recognizing we cannot ignore our past experience when creating.

Samsung, however.... :)

I wanted to pay attention to the content, but I found myself staring at the guys hair... damn. :D

What the demo guru really needed to show....
...was getting work done, while making an appointment for a haircut.

By the time Win(de)X gets to proper beta, that dude is going to have the hair equivalent of a pirate's eyepatch!

Nothing like an older gentleman trying to introduce a "modern" OS with a Haircut that is 80's... I had the impression I was watching an ad for Windows made by a member of the band "The Cure"

It's so gross. Reminds me how much I hate windows. Yuck. Task bar is awful. Snapping windows? This is something to brag about?
But the best thing was "you will get more frequent updates with less polish". What windows user has ever said they would like more frequent updates?
"Now you can wait around for your comp to update and restart twice a day instead of a measly once a day on windows 6/7/8!"

The thing with Microsoft is the total lack of art and class.

Borrowing ideas from another company is the usual, but stealing a name..? Tacky.

Ummmm, you were half right. Microsoft did not have an agreement with Apple to copy the Mac OS user interface. They had an agreement to develop applications for the Mac, namely Excel and Word. Apple gave them early access to the Mac platform to do that, and Microsoft secretly used that opportunity to take ideas for their own operating system.
