Miss the part about 15 exclusive games with 8 of them being new franchises?
There are always the old franchises. Personally I cannot get enough of COD especially and with the addition of the "lean around the corner" move that weve been asking for since the beginning of the series.

I wouldn't say ugly. I thought it was interesting looking. Better than I thought it'd be.
I agree it looked shockingly very fluid and responsive. The day 1 part may be tricky unless you get lucky with a preorder. It seems like consoles have horrible launches every year. I bought a 360 on launch through preorder and was able to sell it for $1200 three months after release b.c it was still hard to get.
The Design is terrible, the Xbox in its current form looks a lot better. Though kudos for the slot drive.

Box looks quite flat & bland to me (I guess like the Metro UI), but maybe it'll grow on me.
The specs were fairly well known previously, I'll need to see a video to see what the UI looks like. I find the 360's Dashboard annoying now, as it feels like endless spam. Plus, having a pay a monthly subscription if you want to use IE or Netflix (in addition to the Netflix subscription)? No thanks.
It'll be interesting to read more about the Xbox One to see how it compares.

For all that talk about how Steve "finally" cracked the TV, Microsoft just delivered a finished product that doesn't even require you to buy a new TV. My guess is Apple's approach will be very different, but I think the STB approach makes a lot more sense than building an actual TV set.
Am i the only one that's getting both ps4 and xbox one? I never understood why people just choose one and stuck with it. I guess It's better to have one, so you can go online and trash the other team til you're blue in the face right? What feels better than going online feeling superior so you can pledge allegiance to one multibillion dollar corporation right?
Ps3 had uncharted, ratchet and clank, heavenly sword, god of war and solid hardware.
Xbox 360 has halo, forza, gears of war franchise and xbox live is the best online play if you like to play with friends. Not to mention how much kinect is maturing from a useless gimmick to something that's actually usable.

AppleTV will also be something you talk to and cloud based with new UI for cable guide. Just smaller box.

I will probably pick up a PS4 when they do a price drop in the future. Buying a Xbox One on day one.

Exactly. People are biased. Have people joking about the design seen the new Kinect 2? I would wonder how people here in the forum would react if Kinect 2 came from Apple.
Kinect 2 (included with every XBox One) is in my opinion really nice. Low latency, works well in dark rooms, filter out lights from other sources, apparently very good voice recognition...

PS: Apple was also interested in the original company behind Kinect, it was based in Israel, Microsoft beat them to it a few years ago. I would have loved Kinect technology in Apple TV.
In a word: Cost.
Not everyone can A) afford or B) justify plonking down $1k plus for a couple of game consoles.
I'll probably get both too. But I don't have enough time for both. The TV integration, better online experience and amazing voice control will probably lead me to keeping the Xbox.
No manditory xbox live. This console looks cool, but I don't feel like spending another $500 on xbox live over its lifespan.
